After spending a few hours recording the song to a click track I remember saying to Blake : “It sounds like when we play it live on a shit night”
Then we decided to do a few takes without the click, this was take 3.
Later on we decided to commit to this take and to record more guitars, percussions and vocals to it.
It has been a crazy night 😎
Maybe as crazy as that night in Byron Bay when I was watching surf videos on the TV of a shitty Discotheque, where all the people look just the same…

Here we are!!! Yet again another release day.. I’m into it. I love it. It’s a day of mixed emotions always. It’s becoming such a therapeutic experience for me the more I dig deeper into unpacking my life, my mind and being very honest with how I view the world I have chosen around me. We all make a choice. I don’t think I have written a more relatable song about my life that continues to be my life. Sadly paying too much 𝑹𝑬𝑵𝑻 is most likely not going to change anytime soon.. and if there is a light at the end of the tunnel well I look forward to feeling that sun on my face!
This song is to validate all those times you said no to fun, all those times you worked a double shift, all those times you lived off noodles, all those nights you couldn’t sleep stressing and all those times you felt shame and guilt for asking your parents to pay your 𝑹𝑬𝑵𝑻. Thanks Mum and Dad x
