There’s a scientific reason for that: I have Grapheme-colour synaesthesia, a neurological trait that causes me to connect colours to numbers and letters automatically and involuntarily - and 5/5 is overwhelmingly, vividly green. Like… intensely green.
Every year when I read the date I get this minty-lime taste in my mouth. That part is NOT a separate type of synaesthesia - it’s more like a secondary association my brain builds on top of the visual green. True synaesthetic taste reactions are rare for me.
My grandpa was born on 5/5, and his name was green to me too. So today has always felt extra, unmistakably green in every sense.
Gotta love that brains are silly like that 💚
