What a year it’s been! 2025 has been a dance of balance between many many awesome projects . We have been so fortunate for opportunities that have come our way which we are incredibly thankful for, mixed with working through mourning a great inspiration and friend… @keenanjeff we think about you and your family everyday and work hard to embody the effortless support and encouragement you gave to those around you… This year we worked through a balance of life stuff like our cabin remodel we’ve mentioned here and there, which has been deeply healing and tons of hard work at the same time… To feeling on top of the world while digging in the dirt and endless creation in the studio. Humbled, reflective, beyond grateful for the lessons and triumphs. Here’s a very little glimpse of 2025 . We are so stoked to welcome 2026 and what we can build from here. Check out these crazy shaped Smoky-Amethyst we dug from a seemingly endless pocket that just keeps going deeper into the Earth. The skeletal formations are from several growth periods when different minerals were brought up through different geological events. This growth pattern created enhydros, open chambers that have ancient water trapped inside ! Sometimes several enhydro chambers can be found in one crystal. They have swirls of smoky and purple color zoning and rainbow inclusions from healed internal fractures 🌈✨… So cool. Unfortunately this also caused them to be susceptible to the freeze-thaw cycle in such harsh environments like high up in the mountains… So many pieces come out of the ground already broken up! They can shatter from just sitting in the sun that heats the water inside… or too harsh of a temperature change like just washing them off in the studio with too hot water. We often hand facet the broken pieces to work with in our jewelry by polishing and shaping them down, which really highlight the shades of smoky and amethyst or bring out a vibrant light purple glow! 🤓💎⚒️
