Holiday concert week with our @thenewyorkpops & @carnegiehall family is, hands-down, my favorite time of year. Always. We sing along to Christmas carols from the back of the hall, dance with Santa backstage, dress up in reds & greens & sparkles, eat way too many cookies; and while it’s also non-stop work, there’s a joy in the fact that we’re all together.
It’s EXTRA special when friends join us for Christmas magic—and there’s no one more magical than @meganhilty . Her kindness, her heart, her humor, her voice….She is, quite simply and in every way, the best. ❤️💚🎄🎶✨🎅🏼
My favorite “somehow this is part of my job” work perk: Flu Shots with Friends!!! (Thanks to #BroadwayCares for supporting The Friedman Health Center to bring free flu shots into Broadway theaters!!) 💉🍭🎭

Last night, I was back at the Richard Rodgers for a #DawsonsCreek original cast reunion benefit to see this extraordinary group together again and support @fcancernow . Then add in Lin Manuel Miranda stepping in to play Dawson, Renee Elise Goldsberry narrating AND leading the Paula Cole theme song singalong, and Norm Lewis singing “Music of the Night”…Neither my 1997 self nor my 2025 self would have ever predicted that much of a Madlibs.
14 years ago, James kept saying I had to meet his friend Carolyn. 13 years ago, our friendship was cemented when she saved me from freezing in Shubert Alley at the Broadway Cares Flea Market. So it seemed pretty perfect to go see James in @andjulietbway together, the night before this year’s Broadway Flea (and yes, that is the original Memphis tote bag Carolyn gave me at the Flea Market in 2012.) #MemphisLives
In 2011, I sat front row center at Memphis the Musical, beaming up at the magnificent @montegoglover the whole time. This has continued to be a favorite trend over the past almost 15 years, and tonight was no different when we got to experience her stunning Mama Rose in @gypsybway . Her voice, her strength, her nuances, her command of the role—you’d think she’d been playing the part for months instead of just two days so far. Go go go to the Majestic this week, and feel as lucky as @esogah & I do that we got to experience this joy.
Almost 15 years of friendship & beaming at @jmiglehart as he pours his heart into everything he does on stage & behind the scenes. (You have 10 more days to catch his stellar portrayal of Louis Armstrong at Studio 54!!) And thank you to everyone at @awonderfulworldbway for such a special night with @alifeinthearts . ❤️❤️
