The Godcycle of the Baja 1000 brought to you by @madson I Revived my 1966 Honda CL77** that had been my uncle Dix’s (RIP) pride and joy that he had kept nearly completely original. Thanks to the help of @moto41 getting it running again after a 30+ years in the corner of the shed.
I finally got my 1966 Honda CL77 back in action Inspired by @madson This model is what Dave Ekins and Bill Robertsons rode in 1962 from Tijuana to La Paz, 900 miles in a record time of 39hrs. A feat that sparked what is now the Baja 1000. This motorcycle was my Uncle Dix pride and joy, but it sat in his garage not running for 20+ years, in nearly 100% original condition. When he passed a few years ago, i inherited the bike and with the help of @moto41 got it running again this past month. This was the maiden voyage! It still needs a few little details to get it dialed, but stoked to have it back rolling!
