The perfect breakfast combi - a mellow, juicy sidamo coffee with salted chocolate crumbles, buttery brioche and rich pockets of dark chocolate. If you have to get out of bed this weekend, might as well make it worth it.

Sip & Sew with Cloop 🪡🧵☕️
Join us this Saturday at @madroaster Slow Bar, @enablingvillage Backyard
🕘 9am–1pm
Bring your sewing kit, garments or textiles you’d like to mend or repair, and an open heart to connect with the community.
We’ll also have clothing pieces in need of a little repair and care, so we can put them back into circulation through our pop-ups, where part of the proceeds will be channelled towards a good cause.♻️👕👖💚
Show up, stitch, sip, and share stories and be part of the #RepairRevolution to #CloseTheFashionLoop for good with Cloop 💕
Oh another gathering in the books!
Thank you to everyone who carved out their Thurs night to attend our second communal pause, which was markedly improved from our first (to those who attended both and felt the difference - thank you and welcome back!) 💫
Superbly grateful to have had Prof. Stuart guide us through the topic of pain - and looking forward to welcoming him back for future sessions.
💙 Bringing together 38 curious humans has also kept the fire going as we continue to plan more sessions for future months.
“Asking better questions” sits at the core of each session, and so if you’re curious and enjoy exploring varied perspectives, do follow us @socrates.spot where we post about future sessions happening (we try) every month.
Until then, stay curious, stay sane.

📝A Letter From Your Mother
It always just comes back to the word - gratitude. Ever so often, people say, you must be a o proud of your daughter, but that does not exactly describe how I feel.
I am truly grateful though.
Grateful that you have kept safe.
Grateful that you have faced life’s challenges with grace and strength.
Grateful that you have found peace and purpose in your life.
Grateful that you have grown so much through this.
Grateful for all the support and help you have received in this endeavour.
Grateful, that God watches over you and guides you.
Just so grateful.
by Denise Chan.
(ps. 🎂 happy birthday Mad, ❤️ from Team Mad Roaster)
🗣️“I’ll be proud of myself”
- Gerwen Espinosa
Not every journey is loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet focus, learning behind the scenes, and showing up even when no one is watching.
From putting in the work, to believing in his own growth, to choosing to show his mentality and skill— this is what progress really looks like.
Will you see Gerwen, for who he is becoming?

Will You Take The Leap of Faith?
Uncertainty, hesitation, the fear of getting it wrong, sometimes that’s all it takes to hold us back. But growth has never come from staying comfortable—it begins when we choose to try.
🗣 Madeline Chan - "The spark is support. Knowing someone is going to journey with you as you start your inclusive hiring journey, knowing that there's going to be job coaches, reviews, and support"
🗣 A. Gerwen Jone Espinosa - "They are family"
🗣 @warrensheldon - "Before the framework, policies and hard work that goes in, there is one decision that makes you say - yes"
🗣 Marcus Oh - "Its very fulfilling to be able to form that bond and seeing them being able to find themselves, identity and passion in what they do"
🗣 Lim Wei Jie - "We don't hire out of tokenism"
It’s about patience—for ourselves, and for the people we choose to journey with.

Wonderful what some sunshine, breeze, music, coffee and being outdoors with some good company can do. We are very sunburnt 😅 but our hearts are on 🔥 with joy. Thank you all 💕 who made the time to come by our first Bike & Flea market at Slow bar. To our fellow flea-ers, @wegotthebead@woshi_tucks thank you for coming out to do this with us, sharing your talents and cute interesting things…so fun! Here is a reel to remember the weekend feels and some memories for keeps. Till next time, restful weekend and Happy Easter! also, thank you Lou for contributing such great footages to this reel.
What a thrilling night!
Thank you the folks who took a chance to attend the first SoCrates session and help shape how it went and could grow into.
From venue space with @madroaster , to speaker with Jason and attendees with 25 other humans… super grateful for how it culminated.
We dined and connected over constant change that’s been normalised, and shared how we can all stay grounded amidst it all.
Being featured on Luma and selling out were also cherries on top of a cake built by so many wonderful humans I met over the past months. Thank you.
“Asking better questions” sits at the core of each session, and so if you’re curious and enjoy exploring varied perspectives, do come join us for our next session happening on Thursday, April 23rd, when we commune to learn about the nature of pain.
Until then, stay curious, stay sane.
