what a wonderful way to end 2025 🪷✂️💕
thank you so much @chillsubs_official and EVERYONE who voted for us to be on the list of the year’s best lit mags. being in the top 10 ‘actually inclusive’ publications is such a dreamy thing to be recognized for. five and a half years, 31 issues (soon to be 32! subs open till the end of the month!) and literally hundreds of contributors (most of whom were previously unpublished or new writers) later, we are so proud to continue bringing you the best of queer & trans emerging literature with an emphasis on living with mental illness. thank you to every person who cast a vote, reads our issues, submits to our magazine, has sent a kind word of encouragement or reached out in collaboration.
the honor is shared and so appreciated! truly a glorious list of friends lot and new.
xoxo SoM forever

it’s here ! happy pride :,)
TRULY a labor of love. when Karen Cline-Tardiff of @gnashingteethpublishing asked me to guest edit an anthology of emerging trans writers last summer I said YES and also how do we do that. we put out an open call that received a flood of submissions from writers around the world, some of whom have authored several books, and some of whom have never been published before. there are over forty contributors across mediums included in this book and all of them lent us a gorgeous middle finger to flagrant anti-trans sentiment and legislature. I am extremely proud and grateful to have been invited to lead this collaborative collection, which is forthcoming in print on June 30th. for all of pride month, you can place pre-orders via gnashingteethpublishing.com (or link in my bio).
virtual launch and local event info coming soon.
many thanks to the artists @m.g.bayonaart and @frequentcrierclub for their work on cover designs and to @maeve_scully for the editor photo. the international celesbian poet @zoe.tuck for blurbing. @caconrad88 for sneaking into my introduction. and to the many many people who shared our open call, trusted us to read your work, and sent us the gift of your disturbing delicious badass words and artwork.
I can’t possibly tag everyone because IG has limits on that sort of thing but I have so many friends old and new included here and I can’t wait for you to see it on bookshelves.
love you team, thanks for bearing with me through my first big bad anthology editorial experience.
better things coming <3
