YDNE screens with @openairmediafestival . an outdoor media arts program. a festival encouraging chance encounters with the public. ✨ a touring program: Iowa City, IA, Greenville, SC, Louisville, KY, with more dates to be announced. founded by artist and educator @zen_cohen . co curated by Zen and artist and curator @thismustbedana . — it is an absolute dream to be included in these thoughtful programs that exist outside of the cinema context. i am curious how a film can operate as an object too. how a film can sometimes be less of a film and more of a thing. and then how and where and why becomes important. it begins to pull the projection from the screen and into the space. and so when it has legs, it’s on a plinth, what does it want to say?
