Time for a new year and some of the same goals!
This year we'll be:
1. Producing
Loads and loads of producing. I have some incredible plans and loads of beautiful shows will be brought to the stage this year. I can't wait!
2. Supporting
My goal once again is to visit at least 50 shows this year! This was one of my favorite goals last year so I can't wait to do it again! I have loved seeing and supporting shows. It has helped me learn what works. It has taught me what I want the shows I am a part of to be. It has been incredibly valuable.
3. Growth
Last year I wanted to grow this account and I lost track of it some way through the year. I'm not sure my account itself has grown but my knowledge of this platform has. Looking forward to learning more and growing this year.

Monday till Saturday we're doing 8 shows together with Alan Greig (@alangreigdance9 ) for Wilde Stages (@wildestages ). We're incredibly excited to be paired with this show called Within Reach. The best part of a double bill is being able to see two great shows for the prize of one. Come and see us at Outhouse.
Oh and the Pride run shirt is from 2023 apparently I'm even more outdated than I thought. Pretty sure Dublin Frontrunners (@dublinfrontrunners ) will be putting on another one this year so if you're into running have a look at their page!

Drawing inspiration from queer icons including Joan Crawford and Quentin Crisp, Within Reach is a humorous and eccentric dance theatre solo that explores identify, aging and the cracked glamour of fame, while Combat Cabaret combines burlesque, a bickering duo and stage combat to battle gender norms - think queer culture meets Laurel & Hardy, but with dazzling latex instead of bowler hats.

Absolutely honored to announce that Combat Cabaret will be part of this year's Wilde Stages (formerly known as Dublin Gay Theatre Festival)
Eoin and Conor are a delightful bickering duo. They are a team, a symbiotic pairing that blossom in the chaos they cause each other. Think queer meets Laurel & Hardy. But change the bowler hats for thigh highs and dazzling latex. And swords, lots of swords. Stage combat combined with burlesque, our heroes battle gender norms.

What an incredible first weekend of the festival. Currently, nursing a post show stress head cold while preparing for my job as stagehand with Gra Mór theatre at the end of the week (sitting still is not for me).
So grateful for this year's shows and learnings. Time to rest a bit and recover. Oh and enjoy the rest of the festival, there are still loads of shows that I would love to catch ❤️

Meet Robin, our producer! Robin is a organizational mastermind, who is currently producing three shows to appear in the same weekend. She does not recommend though she is slaying it.
Robin started Made by Spideóg to help her friends and partner put up their creative projects. She premiered with her first show, Combat Cabaret, on the Scene and Heard stage last year and is so excited to be back.
CharismaCheck and Robin have worked together before on last year's show Murder is for Other People. They had an amazing run and are so excited to bring you this new project this year.
Meet Becca, our tech Captain of the ship 🚢 She'll make sure there will only be smooth sailing!
Becca is an actor, lighting designer, and fight performer from Dublin. She received her MA in Acting from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in 2024 and has been training with the Victorious School of Screen & Stage Combat since 2021. She most recently worked as lighting designer at the Voila Festival in London, for Daniel Popescu's 'Off Beat' and the Etcetera Theatre in December for 'Wilder' by Dany Van Brabant & Thomas Billiouw.
This is not the first time Becca has been collaborating with CharismaCheck. It has been our absolute pleasure having her operate our run of Murder is for Other People last November.
