It's the New Year and Queer the Stage is growing. So what better time to reshare our manifesto. These are the principles we hold, the actions we want to centre and the world we want to build. This is a living manifesto, open to discussion, critique and evolution. It is provocative (deliberately so) and political (because art is inherently political especially from minority artists).
Queer the Stage is about more than being LGBTQ+, queering is about action that goes against norms, that is outside mainstream or centres alternative experiences. All are welcome to share our vision and continue to queer the stage.
After the required one night of sleep post show, it's all kicking off again here at team QTS. Our next show is another Glitter Crash Open Stage! This time we are kicking off Pride Week with a bang.

Butch Chastity, along with his cabal of puppet friends, has been around the block… He's plied his trade on the stages of Irelands burlesque and cabaret halls at shows including the UnderCurrent Seasonal Specials, Electric Picnic, the Cork Burlesque Festival, the Bon Bon Rooms, Queer The Stage and of course Pride Celebrations across the country. He’s the resident host of Glitter Crash, and his hobbies include moustache growing and winking at pretty ladies. And at pretty boys, too. And those pretty folks in between.
He'll wink at anyone, really. So be prepared!!
