It’s not often I give my self a pat on the back. In fact when people compliment me, I don’t know how to respond or feel. It’s weird how the brain is wired sometimes - thrown into the spotlight and being commended by your peers in a room full of equally amazing talent. The award that I won “UK wedding film of the year” means a hell of a lot. For me it’s a huge pat on the back as I put so much love and energy into the creatives knowing I give 110% into what I believe in and my craft. To also be nominated for best destination film and best cinematography is also such a great personal achievement.
Creatives are always learning and often striving to be better - sometimes overlooking their own craft and being distracted by imposter syndrome which I’ve been very much guilty of! With many styles of film out there, I can only imagine the hard task the judges had with this particular category. Creativity is subjective - some will have opinions, others will praise you and be inspired. Stick to what you believe in. Elevate your craft and keep focused.
I’m really grateful for this award and the community of people I am part of in this industry.

New year, new human being!
Now that things have settled, it’s probably about time we got this out there! On Christmas Eve, Emma and I finally welcomed our third child, baby Henry into the world. Let’s just say Christmas for us could only be described as wonderfully chaotic. We’ve purposely stayed off socials and work to enjoy this special time as we complete our family. Not to mention the lack of sleep… oh and a real bad case of man flu thrown in for good measure! The last month or so has surely been a rollercoaster to say the least.
I also want to say how incredibly proud I am of my wife Emma. She soldiered on as far as she could with our couples despite her body telling her otherwise. She’s been incredibly resilient in what was her busiest year yet!
Emma delivered our baby boy on just gas and air and whilst the birth plan didn’t quite work out, she powered through and brought our little man into the world safely just in time for Christmas. I cannot even begin to fathom the level of strength needed to bring a child into the world.

X&M are icons in the fashion world so organising a wedding amongst the busy fashion weeks was a huge undertaking. We expected nothing less than a spectacular and boy did they deliver. From M’s amazing gown to the stunning floristry and cake, rounding off with a bang with the most incredible fireworks and live music that I will rave about for many moons to come. There are not many couples that would be up for a 2am private first dance in the ballroom - but they did!

Jake was the boy next door to Alisha at their student digs at Nottingham Uni … fast forward exactly 10 years, Who would have thought that as a result of that very chance encounter it would lead to coming back to the very place that they met to saying I do. Jake and Alisha are an example of what marriage is all about. They share such a beautiful story and you just know that they will grow old together. Their infectious energy and laughter on the day says it all about them as a couple and we had the immense privilege to be there to capture this milestone for them. Now, a year on, they celebrate their 1st anniversary as husband and wife with their baby son Farleigh.

Bit of a long overdue post this one but Emma and I are really excited to say we are expecting! Number 3 arrives just before Christmas and we can’t wait to make our family complete.

Now that wedding season is pretty much done for us this year, we’d like to send big hugs and love to all our couples that worked with us and especially to those who have been so accommodating. Shout out to the venues as well for looking after Emma with the regular check-ins for drinks and for being understanding when we ask for that bread roll.
This has been a very different wedding season for us this year. There are many adjectives I could use to describe it. Without doubt, we’ve loved every single wedding we’ve shot but it’s been a difficult one behind the scenes where there’s been lots of challenges.
Any TOG/VOG will tell you that a 9/10 hour day shooting a wedding is physically tiring. I cannot even begin to fathom what it’s like doing this job being pregnant. What women have to go through will never be fully understood by their male companions as we don’t get to experience for ourselves the physical body changes and all the hormones that come with it. But what I do know is the sheer resilience, power and strength that Emma has and the ability to show up for couples, even if things haven’t been so good behind the scenes, will never cease to amaze me.
Nearing the end of her pregnancy she had to listen to her body and made the decisions to getting the extra help and cover, we are so incredibly grateful to the couples who understood and put their faith and trust in us.
I am incredibly proud of my wife who has worked so incredibly hard this year. I’m in awe of her resilience and power and now all the hard work is done on her part, we can’t wait to meet our little bubba next month and make our family complete.
