In our film @thetimesetters , I was honored to experience this pivotal scene with one of my mentors @officiallystevenwilliams as our team @candace.nicholas.lippman@larvellhood and I traveled back in time in an attempt to rescue Emmett Till. Steven and I talked about working together for years and we got our opportunity here. Thank you to my brother @mackicy for making this a reality.

A week removed from the premiere of #TIMESETTERS at @nuarttheatre and I had time to reflect on how big of an impact this project has once the world gets a chance to see it. I am grateful everyday for writer/director @mackicy believing in me to help bring his vision to life. I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to play with such talented people for 3 consecutive nights! Can’t wait to do it again! 🙏🏾. Looking forward to the next screening! I’m sure it will get better after each viewing!

I had the best time as the gaffer (chief lighting technician 💃) on @thetimesetters Three overnights, three cameras, more than half all night exterior, daily company moves, a giant ranch, an amazing hardworking cast and crew, and an incredible story written and directed by the great @mackicy .
I was excited to collaborate with our awesome DP @dom.b.dp to work out the challenges of lighting all for night (particularly night exterior) in a high contrast- high saturation style that specifically complemented not just where we were in our locations, but where we were in time (modern day and back in the 1950’s). Shout out to the most hardworking crew without who, we wouldn’t have been able to pull this off!
