Thrilled to be exhibiting alongside so many artists I deeply admire in the upcoming show at @personal_________space . Please come check out the show! // Join us next Sunday, March 15 (2-5pm) for the opening of ᘜㄥㄚ卩卄. This is our first opening since @village__fm opened up next door! It’s sure to be a party. 🥂 Glyph features works by: 📎 Sadie Buckner @art_at_thearcsolano 📎 Luis Estrada @niadartcenter 📎 Rochele Gomez @monograph_gomez 📎 Kainoa Gruspe @quinoa__salad 📎 Léonie Guyer @leonieguyer 📎 Klea McKenna @klea_mckenna 📎 Mitzi Pederson @mtzpdrsn 📎 Ben Peterson @newertopographics 📎 J Pendleton @art_at_thearcsolano 📎 Robert Smithson @roberthsminthson.artist 📎 Emma Spertus @emma_spertus 📎 Henna Vainio @hvain 📎 Richard Zimmerman @machocity Featuring thirteen artists from the Bay Area and beyond, Glyph embraces a liminal space which allows subconscious connections to reign and centers gut feeling as a source of poetry, mystery, and magic. Collectively, these artists draw from an enigmatic lexicon of symbols, favoring inscrutable familiarity over anything known or quantified. This intuitive language manifests through a varied approach to material translation that underscores, and celebrates, our innate ability to understand things deeply without having to define them in words. Last day @springbreakartshow with these and other lovely, hilarious and poetic works by Richard Zimmerman Sunday, 12-6pm 5880 Adams BLVD Culver City, CA Alongside his large-scale cyanotypes of fractured car windshields and cast ceramic doorstops are Zimmerman’s Lettuce Catalogs, Volume 1 &2. In a simple move that is banal and poetic all in the same gesture, each Lettuce Catalog takes us page by page through an entire head of iceberg lettuce. Each leaf scanned at high resolution and floating on the page at actual scale, till we get to the nub at the center. These and the rest of his works are available online through the SPRING/BREAK website, linked in bio. 🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬 @machocity @elspethschulze

I’ve been working on a series of large-scale cyanotype prints over the last four years, recording a kind of typology of discarded automobile windshields. I’ve recently had the pleasure of working together with @elspethschulze and @shanedarwent , whose work I admire deeply, to frame and prepare these works for a future project. Their curatorial insight has brought new meaning to the work for me and I am excited to share these prints. Four of the framed cyanotypes from the series will be installed in Cameron Studios this evening during the Tulsa Artist Fellowship’s First Friday Open Studios. Please come and check out the works tonight in Tulsa. Friday 2/2 6-9pm Cameron Studios 303 N Main St. Tulsa, OK 74103 @tulsaartistfellowship

Tulsa, OK 74119 "When thinking about what kind of artwork should go on a billboard in Tulsa, OK, where I’ve found myself for the past 5 years, I kept coming back to the bizarre, out of place nature of the advertisements scattered throughout the city. Knowing this iteration of Add Space was happening in the brutal heat of August made it all the more clear that the billboards would give testament to the surreal, dizzying, and oh so drenched sensations of walking through Downtown Tulsa at the end of summer. The selected artists, Sasha Gordon, Torbjørn Rødland, and Lynda SmithSchick, offer up works that emit a monumental, blinding reflection of the inescapable heat that is all around us."
