Was given the honour of working on Forbidden Fruits last year. My sleep schedule was left in shambles from those 11 PM to 11 AM days, but it was totally worth the journey. Thank you Meredith Alloway, Mason Novick, Mary Anne Waterhouse, Dave Wilson, and the entire team for trusting me with the 1st Assistant Production Coordinator role. I promise by the next production I’ll get better at taking photos for memories. But until then, here’s another collage of posters, credits, me grabbing coffee right before dawn, and whatever else I found in my camera roll lol. @forbiddenfruitsfilm is in theatres now, and you won’t want to miss it. A lot of incredible people came together to make this a reality.

Honoured to see my photograph featured as the backdrop image for the packaging of @canadapostagram ‘s official stamp celebrating Canada’s hip-hop trailblazer @maestrofreshwes It’s a really special feeling to see my work live on in something this iconic. Submissions for the 2026 festival just went live. so it feels like the perfect moment to look back at @timvfest 2025. 💛🎬 Year three was something special. Huge thank you to our performing artists: @who.is.vi , @melogriffith & @iamquietlove for making Friday so memorable and to our festival host the always incredible @unsightedpoet , for keeping the vibes high all weekend. Had the privilege of working as the 1st Assistant Production Coordinator on the new Fear Street movie, Prom Queen, last year. Many late nights and even more unforgettable memories with the best team. Working on a slasher has always been on my bucket list. Huge thanks to Matt Palmer, Mary Anne Waterhouse, Chris Danton, Dave Wilson, and Netflix for the opportunity. I’ve gotten terrible at taking photos lately, so please enjoy this chaotic mix of posters, photos, and shenanigans from the production office crew. Oh wow, @timvfest Round 2 is over. It’s been just about a month since the event, and I’m still buzzing from the experience. You probably know where this is going, but I want to say a very special thank you to the TIMVF team, venues, panelists, filmmakers, sponsors, and attendees who made this possible. The Toronto International Music Video Festival is truly a collaborative project that wouldn’t have been achievable without so many talented individuals. Expanding from one to three days was intimidating, but with this team, I knew we could pull it off. Shoutout to my partners @ryancowan & @jacobsero . Hard to believe this started way back in college as a random idea during a production meeting. Shoutout to our incredible creative team Creative Director: @brycemercier & Branding Director: @ericdotward for the absolutely insane work you created. YPDCS Vol III 👉 Mac Downey @ Toronto International Music Video Festival TIMVF has just wrapped its second year. Directed and Co-founded by Mac (alongside Ryan Cowan and Jacob Sero), it is a multi-day event offering filmmakers and artists the chance to showcase their music videos to the public, celebrate music video art, and facilitate networking and education among creatives. This year’s festival attracted over 1000 attendees. In 2024, the TIMVF added the Canadian Showcase, Micro-Budget Showcase, Music Documentary Showcase, and expanded educational panels in its mission to help GTA creatives break through in the music video industry. Highlighting the incredible artistry within the medium is important to the Co-Founders; “We started our careers in music videos and always felt this art form deserved greater recognition.” Follow along: @timvfest / timvf.ca

I wanted to take a moment to thank someone very important to me, Paula Sue Layton. She was tragically taken too soon. Paula loved the arts, gardening, and her family. She has always been a supporter of mine and was especially encouraging of the festival. Paula contributed a generous donation to TIMVF before her passing. We are proud to have had her in the community. Her love and warm spirit will carry on through our family and the many members of the community touched by her generosity.
