It’s been a big shift transitioning to homeschooling, but honestly I don’t think we’ve ever made a better decision. Punkin is thriving 😭💕 I wanted to share a little peek at a few of his art-related projects. We’re doing an in-depth study of the table of elements and he’s been making a trading card for each element. I think these are my favorite and I told him today that he’s in-training for Drawlloween this year! In art class, we’ve done paper making, print block carving, letterpress printing, and started him on sculpting. He fell in love with Claire Obscure and wanted to sculpt his own version of the masks for his wall. He’s also started writing THREE books, as well as composing classical music in the evenings (instead of only wanting to game in his free-time!). I know so many of you have watched him grow over the years (we call you the internet-aunties!💕) so I wanted to give a lil update! #AnAmericanAunting #auntieshavethebestjobs
The studio is FREEZING right now (it’s in the original 1800s construction part of the house and it’s under 50 degrees in there!) so I’ve had to commandeer the kitchen table for work the past couple weeks. Well, we have two bits of big news- the first is that we are homeschooling Punkin! He was miserable at school and seemed to be just wilting for the past year, so we decided to do it! We’ve been getting our homeschooling sea legs over the holiday break, and while it’s a lot of work, I’m not sure anything outside of making art has felt more natural 😭💕 Second news? Hmm, well it’s a dumb lil pinkie ol fusspot called an Ancatylosaurus (pronounced: Ann-Cat-ee-low-sour-us) who just arrived!
