Pushing to make 2024 a big year for me in the Film & TV industry! Pinning this to the top of my profile with a bit of a bio for those of you visiting my page for the first time wondering what kind of film work I’ve done so far… Please excuse the shameless self-promotion! If not here, then where? 😇
I’ve been in the film & TV industry since I was 15, and have been producing narrative short films since 2017. Over the years I’ve worked in offices and on set and cultivated a broad understanding of how the filmmaking process fits together, as well as what it takes to bring someone’s creative vision from their imagination into the real world.
As a Welsh Producer, I love telling stories that reflect the rich culture and landscape of this incredible country. Previous portrayals of the incredible spectrum of characters in Wales have only scratched the surface, and I think there’s incredible opportunity to explore the more complex side of Wales.
Currently in post-production on the BFI & Film4 funded short film ‘Flock’, I am excited for what the future holds! The Future Takes scheme is aimed at finding the UK’s next top producers and I think they’ve got it spot on.

Honoured to announce that our director, Mac Nixon (@notacrook_ ), has been nominated for the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards 2026 (@sonyfuturefilmmakerawards ) for his work on FLOCK. We’re incredibly excited to have our film premiere across the pond for the first time and not only that… we’re going along for the ride.
Sony are kindly flying Mac and producer Matt Ashwell (@maashwell ) out to LA early next month for a week of screenings, conversations, and the awards ceremony itself. We’re thrilled to be taking our story of Welsh culture and community all the way to Hollywood and there’s still more exciting news to come. Keep your eyes peeled 👀

We’ll be showing Flock at the upcoming FOCUS film festival in Wrexham, North Wales on Thursday May 7th as well as hosting our first panel about the ‘Making Of’ this beast of a short film.

The past several weeks for FLOCK have been an absolute whirlwind and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate and thank everyone involved.
We had the joy of premiering our film at the @londonfilmfestival - our first public screening! The reception was incredible, and connecting with fellow filmmakers across that week was a dream.
And then - wow - we were nominated for Best Short Film at the @bifa_film ! Such a surreal night, surrounded by world-class talent, celebrating in style, seeing our film on the big screen next to the year's biggest films - left us feeling grateful and a little like impostors! But here’s to believing we belong!
And a special shoutout to Welsh Designer @nathanpalmerbespoke for helping us look our absolute best for the @bifa_film awards night in these stunning tailored jackets! The perfect partnership for an unforgettable evening. A designer & tailor specialising in modern formal wear / red-carpet pieces and couture dresses - go check out his work.
It’s been a wonderful way to wrap up 2025 - closing out the year in style! And we’re even more excited for the adventures and news Flock has in store for 2026 - stay tuned for more exciting updates!

Fresh from our incredible experience at the @bifa_film awards night, we are delighted to share that FLOCK and Linda Wu (@lil.wontons ) have won the @bscine Award for Best Cinematography for Short Film. It’s so wonderful to see our film, and the ambitious visual standard we set for ourselves, be honoured by such a prestigious organisation.
We would like to congratulate the entire Camera and Lighting department for their stellar efforts, especially when battling some tricky conditions, stormy weather and an overwhelming number of sheep!
It took lots of people to pull this off and achieve the visual heights and cinematic quality the story deserved, so it’s important that we also celebrate the work of everyone who had a hand in pulling it off. That includes our 2nd Unit Camera and Lighting team led by Lewis Jelley (@lewisjelleydop ), who helped us with key visuals throughout the film and a crucial scene in our story, our incredible Visual and Special effects teams and of course, the artistry and hidden work done across the film by our online finishing artist and colourist Elliot Riella (@rielllllla ) whose work helped us elevate the striking visual character and presence throughout the film. And not to mention the folks at Sunbelt and Panalux who provided all our Camera and Lighting kit.

From setting barns ablaze to making over a hundred sheep disappear, rigging cameras on vintage tractors to working through the biggest storm Wales has seen in years - this film tested every limit we had.
Our crew shot across multiple rugged locations, braved the elements, worked with dozens of background artists, stunts, SFX, VFX and everything in between. It was muddy, chaotic, cold, and utterly relentless. But in the middle of the all that madness, something special began to come together…
This film is the result of the hard work and determination of a team that gave it absolutely everything. We want to say a huge thank you to the cast, crew, animal wranglers, stunt teams, SFX magicians, and everyone who stood shin-deep in mud until 3 in the morning and still found a way to make something magical. We did it together and we can’t thank you all enough.
