Are We Nearly There Yet? will reach its close on the evening of April 4th. We mark this closure with a sonic intervention from The Musicologists, aka duo Quiten en Simon (expect delightful absurdity and musical intelligence in equal measure). Alongside this, Maison Caca will host a performative DIY T-shirt sale—bootleg, quirky, subversive as always. “Maison Caca: conventual chic, affordable afordab afor for four fourg forgr forgerie frog fr.” – Maison Caca “Simon is one of the greatest living Belgian composers, whilst Quinten is one of the most vital commentators on the wider music scene of which Simon is a part. This informative, entertaining, at times shocking, performance will be an essential reading for anyone interested in Simon’s life, his era, and music.” – The Musicologists Be there by 18.00 @pilarbrussels Poster @saskiasmithlife Pics @isjeboytim @maisoncaca @quintenstruyventje @misantroop_in_bijberoep

Announcing our upcoming show “Are We Nearly There Yet?” a group exhibition featuring Billie Clarken Camille Soulat Elias Peeters Gaspar De Geyndt Kamiel de Waal Lena Long Philip Ullman Victoria Palacios Yun Heo “Are We Nearly There Yet?” sets growing up and coming-of-age against a critical question of its assumed arrival. It brings together artists whose playful directness unsettles adult structures of power; exposing the playground dynamics of the so-called “real-world”. Not a retreat into idealised simplicity or artistic naïveté, but rather a search for credibility in what is so often dismissed as “childlike”. Opening Thursday 6th of March, 5-11pm Running till April 4th open from Wednesday — Saturday: 14:00 — 20:00 At Pilar, Pleinlaan 2, Brussels – part of Pilar ASAP @pilarbrussels @billie_clarken @sltcamille @elias.peeters_  @gap_i_ @kamiel_dewaal @lenalong_ @philipullman @victoriapalacios_ @yunheo #BillieClarken #CamilleSoulat #EliasPeeters #GasparDeGeyndt #KamieldeWaal

RUNNING until this FRIDAY Exhibition views from ‘A regular day elsewhere”, a group exhibit developed by @m___e___d___u___s___a and Studio Hanniball. Opening hours: Tue & Sat, 2 – 6pm + on request 17. Nov – 15. Dec @i_saw_you_in_my_dreams @ludovicbeillard @gap_i_ @jefroels @annefloorarsonne @larsduchateau @bzybby Characters, props, backdrops, or puppets – the composition of these elements determines what narrative gets told. The selected artists‘ practices prioritize these foundational components, rather than the plots they may discern. With figures orphaned from a scene and backdrops brought to the forefront, „A Regular Day Elsewhere“ embraces the fragmented ambiguity that emerges when these elements, typically domesticated within an established narrative, offer their own autonomous point of view in retelling.
