Sunrise Garden by @m9_designstudio Tucked inside an industrial suburb of Bengaluru, Sunrise Garden by M9 Studio is a quiet green retreat — a glass structure filled with trees, creepers, and birds. Designed as a space to slow down and reconnect with nature, it blurs the line between built and wild. Filming this was a reminder of how powerful simple and honest design can be. . . #SunriseGarden #M9DesignStudio #ArchitectureFilm #architecture #Bangalore #AdaptiveReuse #ArchitecturePhotography #sohaibilyas #Design

Back to Brick We envisioned the @subkocoffee Ajji House at Courtyard as a seamless yet distinctive extension of the beloved Mary Lodge outlet in Bandra. Our approach blended vintage charm with modern sensibilities, incorporating local elements to create a space that feels both familiar and uniquely Bangalorean. Through careful spatial storytelling we crafted an environment that enhances the coffee-drinking experience while staying true to Subko’s identity. This collaboration has allowed us to shape a setting that not only reflects Subko’s ethos but also integrates effortlessly into the vibrant @thecourtyardcommunity .

Three shapes. One obsession. The vase. The teardrop. The ribbed column. Each one turned by hand from solid walnut. Each one becoming a side table, a table lamp, or a floor lamp with an integrated shelf. These are Bernard & Friends — years of thinking about what a piece of furniture should feel like to live with. Not just look at. Live with. The brass rod is the only element that isn’t wood. The base, the shade, the tabletop — all the same walnut, the same grain, the same warmth. One material in quiet conversation with itself. Rooted in craft. Built to last decades. #WalnutFurniture #IndianDesign #FurnitureDesign #CraftedFurniture #ContemporaryDesign

@bardoubble Part 02 The existing structure is retained and softened— acoustic panels and a grid ceiling bring rhythm to a tight volume. Seating remains informal—bar stools, benches, shared tables. Designed to be occupied differently, each time. Lighting is continuous and calm. A stretched light anchors the bar, while walls are softly washed. Inspired by Unreasonable Hospitality, the focus is on use—where small details build familiarity over time. 📷 @ekansh_goel #hospitalitydesign #barinterior #interiordesign #architecturelovers #spatialdesign

@bardoubble Part 01 Not a destination. A place you return to. A narrow, split-level shell—reworked with restraint. A compressed entry opens into a long stainless steel bar, where making becomes the experience. A cut through the ceiling connects both levels—allowing the space to unfold vertically. Lime-washed walls, red oxide floors, teak, steel. Familiar materials, reassembled into a new rhythm. Built for repetition, not novelty. 📷 @ekansh_goel #barinterior #restaurantdesign #hospitalitydesign #designinspiration #adaptiveReuse

Anchored in the ideas of remembering and reflecting, the Dr Vishnuvardhan Memorial in Mysore, designed by Nischal Abhay Kumar @nischal_abhaykumar of M9 Design Studio @m9_designstudio , envisions what a memorial can be. Designed as a living tribute to the iconic South Indian actor, the space chooses to engage, host and inspire. Divided thoughtfully into two zones, the stone-clad memorial offers introspection and a peek into the actor’s achievements, while the brick-built auditorium introduces warmth and an energy of collectiveness. It is a place shaped as much for artists and performances as it is for those who come to observe and remember. In collaboration with Simpolo @simpolotilesandbathware , we explore how materiality can hold memory and invite life back into spaces of homage. Videography: 42fps Productions @42fpsproductions @adityarajfilms #elledecor #elledecorindia #promotion #simpolo #tiles #architecture #season3 #thenextdesignshift #architecturemeetsnature #simpolotiles #artandcraft #interiorstory #designstories #interiordesgin #watchnow

One @thecourtyardcommunity . Many worlds. From @eatnaru to @subkocoffee Ajji House, from @wineinprogressblr to @middleroomblr and the lush calm of @conservatory.blr — this courtyard is a living ecosystem of food, culture, music and gathering. Designed as a shared ground, the architecture doesn’t compete with the experiences—it frames them. Layers of material, light and movement stitch together diverse identities into one cohesive place, where every corner holds a different mood and every visit feels new. A reminder that the most powerful spaces aren’t single-use—they evolve, overlap and invite people to stay a little longer. @nischal_abhaykumar and @akhilasrinivas take a bow! 📷 @ekansh_goel [courtyard design, cultural spaces, hospitality architecture, adaptive reuse, Bangalore design scene, food and design, experiential architecture, community spaces, contemporary Indian architecture]

Designed as a deliberate pause within the city, @middleroomblr is an intimate listening bar where architecture steps back and sound takes the lead. Tucked inside @thecourtyardcommunity , this 33-seat space is tuned for deep listening — vinyl, analogue gear, calibrated acoustics, and a room that asks you to slow down. Our approach was guided by restraint. Warm wood, muted reds, soft light, and a carefully composed layout ensure nothing competes with the music. Every surface, seat, and sightline is placed to support collective listening — not background noise, but shared focus. Inspired by Japanese jazz kissas and the memory of old Bangalore’s music-and-beer rooms, Middle Room sits between reverence and community. A space where design doesn’t shout, but quietly holds the room together — letting records, conversations, and time do the rest. 📷 @ekansh_goel #MiddleRoomBengaluru #DesignForListening #HospitalityDesignIndia #SpacesThatSlowYouDown #m9designstudio

@eatnaru was designed as an over-the-counter experience—where diners, chef and craft exist in one continuous frame. The interiors are restrained, tactile, and intentionally cinematic. Cedar wood, indigo upholstery, warm paper lighting and a visible noodle-making machine turn process into performance. No visual noise. No borrowed drama. Just material honesty, rhythm and the joy of watching ramen come alive. When design steps back, experience steps forward. 📷 @ekansh_goel #HospitalityDesign #RestaurantDesign #InteriorArchitecture #smallspacedesign #designinspiration

Wine, but without the ceremony @wineinprogressblr WIP was imagined as a 250 sqft pause in the city—intimate, honest, and quietly alive. A place where blackened walls carry chalked thoughts, warm yellow light softens the edges, and a single slab of wood becomes the heart of the room—made for long conversations and louder pours. Books, vinyl, and bottles coexist behind the bar. Two-seaters lean into frosted glass, opening gently to the courtyard beyond. No formality. No pretence. Just space, sound, texture, and people. Designed for 14. For private conversations, spontaneous gatherings, and the joy of killing a bottle without overthinking it. 📷 @ekansh_goel #winebar #InteriorDesign #BarDesign #HospitalityDesign #IntimateSpaces

The slow reveal. 🕯️✨ What if a candle could leave something beautiful behind? Introducing the Vav Candle Holder — a monolithic stoneware cube that transforms as it burns. Inspired by the ancient stepwells of India, the geometric interior is hidden at first, only revealing its architectural steps as the wax gently melts away. Available in Obsidian (Black) and Alabaster (White), infused with notes of Vetiver and Sandalwood for a moment of celebratory hygge. Once the flame is gone, the sculpture remains. Use it to hold your treasures, or simply let it catch the light. #stepwellcandle #newnordic #minimalistdesign #stoneware #architecturaldesign #slowliving #hyggehome #interiordesign #sustainabledesign #productdesign #bangaloredesigners #designdetails #candlelover #objectdesign
