MY BAD BS & REAL GS I'M IN AN EXHIBITION EEEEEK!!
How iconic that I got to archive some of my experiences as a DJ and creative entrepreneur through this exhibition 🥹!
It is free and is on today and tomorrow (Sat 25th April)! You can visit @roundhouseldn in Camden to catch the Soundboy to Streaming: Collective and Individual Joy exhibition, but you gotta get a ticket first - link in bio/google it it'll come up. It closes at 7pm, so even though the ticket days 6:45pm, I'd advise getting there earlier so you don't get kicked out 😭
This amazing project was curated by a talented bunch of young people including the wonderful @claire_ducharme who reached out to be and got me involved 🫶🏾. The exhibition felt like a glimpse of home as a West London girl who grew up going to Carnival & in a home where music and mic control came hand in hand! If you don't have the time to catch it, you can still listen to my audio interview using the link in my bio/the QR code in one of the slides 👀.
The exhibition is in collaboration with the @museumofyouthculture and it was so much fun 😍! Big thanks to my friends @phantomofthearchfiend & @tonivmurphy for seeing it with/for me & capturing these pics and vids.
And also shout out to Simon at the Roundhouse for giving us an unofficial mini tour of the building and sharing some cool fun facts with us as we walked around curious and mischievously 🤭.
I showed him my impromptu breakdancing performance and he said I should post it, so clearly he has an eye for talent 🫶🏾
