Kicking off Black History Month posts with @janetjackson and her song Black Cat from her album “Rhythm Nation 1814” released August 28, 1990. This was a big deal because it was the first rock song from a Black woman that shot to number 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100, which was unheard of at the time and a big accomplishment at the time.
