Proud to serve alongside Chair Tennell Atkins and Hon. Jennifer Staubach Gates on the DPD Law Enforcement Training Center at UNT Dallas fundraising committee as we work to build a stronger, safer future for Dallas. QuikTrip’s $10 million commitment is an extraordinary investment in public safety—and a powerful example of what corporate leadership looks like when business leaders step up for our city. So grateful for this partnership and for QuikTrip’s belief in Dallas. #Dallas #PublicSafety #Leadership #CommunityPartners

Build The Workforce Development Summit connected students, jobseekers and the construction industry. The event was designed to breakdown stereotypes, highlight career options both in the field and the office and showcase how innovation and collaboration make construction a career built for every future!

Tomorrow is the last week of early voting, and I hope Dallas voters will make a plan to vote in the Dallas Independent School District School Bond election on or before May 2. I support all four propositions because they represent a meaningful investment in safer schools, modernized campuses, updated technology and stronger opportunities for students across our city, while reflecting thoughtful fiscal stewardship with minimal tax impact. Dallas ISD is making real progress, and this is a chance to build on that momentum for future generations. Please vote early and make your voice heard.

Last night at the @equest Annual Gala celebrating the extraordinary impact of Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship — an organization I was introduced to 20 years ago through the Junior League of Dallas and have admired ever since. Congratulations to Melinda and Mark Knowles on a beautiful event, and thank you to Melinda for the kind words recognizing me as honorary chair — I was deeply touched. So special to be with friends supporting an organization that continues to change lives across North Texas. Grateful to Eric Lindh and everyone who makes Equest’s mission possible. A wonderful night celebrating service, leadership and community. #EquestGala #CommunityLeadership

What a special weekend celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Dallas International Film Festival. Honored to co-chair the Star Award Luncheon with my dear friend @tanyafosterblog and support an organization I’ve been proud to champion since my early American Film Institute board days. A highlight was meeting this year’s honoree, Lou Diamond Phillips, and hearing his personal and authentic stories in conversation with Deborah Ferguson. Thank you as well to Michael Cain, James Faust and Beth Wilbins for all you do to make DIFF so special. One of my favorite parts of the festival is discovering unique films early and celebrating the creativity that drives this industry. A wonderful weekend honoring film, friendship and community — and the festival continues through April 30. If you haven’t been, tickets are still available.

This past Thursday’s VolunteerNow Hearts of Texas Luncheon was a meaningful afternoon celebrating service and community. Congratulations to @cyntgm on a well-deserved honor. Having received this award in 2023, I know how special that moment is, and it was a joy to be there celebrating her. I especially enjoyed gathering a table of young leaders to hear her inspiring words. Volunteering has shaped my life from a very young age, and it remains one of the most meaningful ways to stay connected to this community. Thank you to Cynt and Deborah Ferguson for the kind recognition of Young Women’s Preparatory Network, and to Rachel Currie Triska for her continued leadership of VOLY. And a fun confetti-filled celebration to close out the afternoon made it all the more memorable. Grateful for this community.

Who knew a parking lot could turn into an IndyCar race track? What an incredible experience seeing the inaugural Java House Grand Prix of Arlington up close this weekend. It was a thrill to join friends from HNTB, including Ashley Booth and Kyle Riley, in the Pit Lane Suite and watch the action unfold. What made it even more impressive was learning about the work behind the scenes. Kyle and the HNTB team helped design and build the race course infrastructure that made the entire event possible.

Such a fun weekend in Austin celebrating my niece Eloise. Not sure how she suddenly looks this grown up, but this proud aunt is taking it in. So good to be together with family and friends — and even better that the evening supported Helping Hand Home and their work providing care and safe haven for children who need it most for over 130 years! Proud Auntie L 💛
