Last year, with the release of
@thebodyremembersfilm we were lucky enough to spend time at the
@arraynow campus, which left us awe-inspired. We look to their respect and love for the people and place that surround them, the family and facilities they’ve built, and
@Ava ’s JUST DO IT attitude, and we dream big about what we might someday help build for our community.
Right now, we just are a young company of 2 stretching our roots in this rainy town, but we know full well that we are only as strong as the community that surrounds us. We are committed to finding ways to support a healthier, flourishing local independent filmmaking community in our complex city.
We recognize that Black, Indigenous, LGBTQ2S+, filmmakers living with disability and filmmakers of colour have historically, and are presently, vastly underfunded by our cultural institutions. We envision a future where this is not the case, but until that point and beyond, we commit to continual support of our fellow filmmakers through grants, mentorship, advocacy, activism, equitable hiring practises, and financial support to the vital organizations already engaged in advocating for equity in our industry
