This Thanksgiving I am giving thanks for my friendship for all these years with this amazing woman. Toni Pierce-Sands ❤️Such a beautiful dancer but an even more beautiful person inside and out. Toni, although I will miss you physically I still feel your spirit shining as brightly as ever. I will miss picking up the phone to hear you say “Heeeey Tootie” and how we would just crack up! I will miss us just chatting it up and reminiscing about our Ailey days and simply just checking in on each other. Funny in these pics we have the same pose even though they are about 30 years apart. Same pose, same love but even deeper. ❤️ Thank you for being my big sis in spirit. Rest well my Tookie 🙏🏽

I was blown away with these young dancers in my new work “Recursion”! They truly inspired me. Also honored to meet and work with the fabulous Kenneth Keith @designbykeith whose lighting really was the icing on the cake! He was the original lighting designer for Ulysses Dove’s Vespers, many of Donald McKayle’s works and so many others. Merde this weekend dancers!
