The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County commissioned Alissa Christine to create “AQUAZUL", a VR Meditation Experience App for Art+Mind Day, a free community festival highlighting the arts' role in enhancing well-being. Jairo Ontiveros,VP, Education and Community Engagement at the Arsht Center, expressed hopes for the event to bring happiness, healing, and stress relief to the community.
"AQUAZUL" offers a meditative VR voyage through Alissa Christine's underwater 3D painted world, with sights and sounds of sea life to inspire the community to venture out and enjoy the abundant healing benefits of Miami’s ocean. This live VR experience by Alissa Christine is developed to help promote social interaction with present moment awareness through the breath, and blue spaces may also have a calming effect on the neuronal waves in our brains. Alissa has engineered inventive technologies that allow adventurers to dive into her art in a way that is as fluid and dynamic as the sea itself.
