Three months ago, I had to say goodbye to my grandmother, who was like a mother to me when I was growing up in my teens.
I count myself very lucky, not only because I had her love and support in my life, but also because I got to spend a few last days with her and had the chance to say what wasn’t said often enough.
She had a saying that she told me one last time that day with the same old cheeky grin: “Order is half of life”. As if I could ever forget that one. I heard it so many times back then that I swear it almost lost its meaning. She often joked that her words would haunt me when I got older. And how right she was, as usual.
But it was only this last time that I realized that these words were and always had been about balance. I guess It’s always the obvious things that we overlook first in the people closest to us.
Machs gut Omi.
🇺🇦 Tschernihiw and Kyiv 2019 with @alexa.zh I remember seeing soldiers in the city who where probably heading east. Russian aggression was present back then, but the west looked the other way for years. It’s more than 7 months into the barbaric Russian invasion today and no one can really grasp where all this is going. I just hope for this madness to stop, for Ukraine to outlast this war and for the people of Russia to finally wake up and overthrow their fascist government. #славаукраїні #standwithukraine #odtakeovers #filmphotography
Snap.
Testing new Randomwalk Subsurface Scattering implementation in Redshift and it’s super nice. Also getting more used to the KineFX way of rigging in Houdini
