One of my New Year’s resolutions was to get back into dancing and performing again. Paulina reached out to me to be apart of this project and it felt like the exact push I needed to make that goal happen. I can’t believe it took us ten years but we finally danced on stage together! I’m so so proud of you dude! Every year you are just bossing up in this community and it’s such a joy to see! May you continue to flourish in all the dreams you have set for yourself this year! ✨

As the oldest of such a big family, you extend so much love to your siblings and loved ones. I wanted to make sure that love was reciprocated right back to you as you start off year 33. Thank you to everyone that held down the secret, made the trek from Sac, and helped decorate while I took Lydia to “dinner”. Y’all are MVP’s fr fr. Date Night 📚🥂|| I made a goal to read more in 2026. I’m already three books in and the month isn’t even over yet! Lydia and I had our own little book club session discussing James McBride’s “The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store” at @clios_oakland . Ohhf what a great book! I can’t wait to read more of his work. We decided to keep the vibes going at @thepeachbrunch at night and the food was bomb. I love you Oakland. You are home frfr.

We checked out the Museu Afro Brasil and The Ibirapuera Park during the day and danced in the warm rain at a random bloco at night. Twas a beautiful first night out together!

I have a goal to make an intentional effort to move my body again. Movement truly does have an effect on my mental health and not having it consistently like I used to has shown up in ways I don’t like. So, I’m going to take at least two classes a month (heels and anything else) to get back to my body and happy place. I don’t have the capacity to be on a team anymore but would love to still find community in classes. I’ll post when I do take classes if anyone would like to join! See ya at the next one!
