Via dei Ragni – Cerro Torre What an adventure! I feel so privileged that I could spend six days in these beautiful mountains together with my new friends @emaclimbs and @jere_martina 🫶🏼. Fun fact: I only met them one week before we climbed Cerro Torre together. After five weeks of bad weather, I couldn’t have wished for a better ending to my Patagonia trip. For now, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Huge respect and congratulations to the Polish machines (@chillup_guides , @piotrontherocks , @maciejbedrejczuk ) for cleaning the route as the first party of the season. And muchas gracias to @rolo_garibotti (@patagoniavertical ) for the expert advice! @lasportivagram @edelrid_sport @mountainequipment @pecker_shop_com @stubaisports #climbing #alpin #iceclimbing #patagonia #climbing #mountains #alpinism #cerrotorre

@fabian_hagenauer and I were motivated for some harder climbing again. So, we headed to the steep section of Peak Slesova to try the "American Way" (900m, 20 pitches, max. 7c+). We spent one day checking out the hardest four pitches. To our surprise, we both managed to send the two 7c pitches and the 7c+ crux pitch, a blank slab, with minimal natural features on the first try, except one foot slip from Fabi. After a rest day, we returned with our haulbag, prepared for four days on the wall. Everything went smoothly, including the infamous 7b off-width, "Kyrgy Monster," which Fabi sent on his first go. Then, a sudden hailstorm hit, and setting up the portaledge in the storm with soaked clothes was tough. The following day, we continued climbing the steep 70m crack pitches, even downclimbing a tricky 7c. We spent another night on the wall, high above the valley. The next morning, we enjoyed the final four pitches of easier climbing up to the summit. The descent went by quickly, thanks to the straight 70-meter rappels. @lasportivagram #foryourmountain @mountainequipment @edelrid_sport @stubaisports

It was actually my third attempt on this route. The first time, conditions were too bad to even start climbing. The second time, my partner fell on the second pitch and injured his leg, so we had to rappel down.
This time, with @flo.taubmann and Kilian, everything went smoothly, only the descent took longer than expected. Such a great line and super fun climbing! It’s also really cool to see the progress in my climbing and experience over the last years.
And the best part: there are still so many cool lines to explore in this valley😁 @lasportivagram #climbing #mixedclimbing #alpinism #mountain #winter

Luce di Primo Mattino (435 m, 8a max.) An old techno route with a spectacular 8a crux pitch right at the very end. Dario and I climbed everything smoothly, except for the 7c, which took me a second try. When I reached the belay and started belaying Dario in the 8a-pitch, I was already quite tired and honestly fine with just supporting him. But when he sent it on his second go, I got psyched again and I managed to send it as well! Thanks Dario for the motivation and the great day! @lasportivagram #climbing #alpin #trad #multipitch #alpinism

Til asked if I wanted to go ice climbing. Since I had an appointment at 10 a.m., I thought starting at 11 and going by public transport @ecopoint_climbing would be too late. Turns out, Valsertal is actually super easy to access. In the end, we had an amazing ice climbing day. The route itself is quite spectacular, yet relatively easy for a free-hanging icicle😌. Thanks for the great day Til and @donfertig666 . @lasportivagram #climbing #iceclimbing #alpinism #mountains #mountain

Even though the weather #patagonia in the mountains is often quite bad, there are still plenty of great activities to enjoy around El Chaltén. 😌 Thanks for the pictures @dantbaum @lasportivagram #climbing #bouldering #outdoor #nature

Cerro Torre - Via dei Ragni Some details for the people who are interested: We (@emaclimbs , @jeremartina_ ) saw a long weather window approaching and quickly decided to attempt the ragni Route. On the first two days, we approached the 30 km and climbed up to Col des Esperanza. Traversing the icefield really distorts distance—it took us three hours to cover ground that looked like a one-hour walk. Progress was good the next day on easier 70° ice pitches leading to the base of the Elmo, where the first crux awaited. On the Elmo’s left side, we climbed a short mixed section followed by steep ice runnels. Beneath 30 cm of rime, we found solid ice, perfect for placing screws — a super-fun pitch like every other one 😍. More mixed climbing followed, which proved both harder and more beautiful than I had expected. After a section of easier terrain, we squeezed through a goulotte, then faced a slightly overhanging chimney and the glorious headwall as the last sun rays hit the wall. Right after the headwall, we bivied on a mushroom. The next morning, Ema and Jere led quickly through the first two mushrooms. We waited 2–3 hours at the final pitch, watching @maciejbedrejczuk climbing/aiding through the rime — it was spectacular! After the polish team topped out, we let the team ahead pull up our rope rather than lead the final pitch ourselves. Not really the way I wanted to climb this pitch, but it was already getting late… Soon after, we reached the summit 🤩. We rappelled back to the col, bivied there again, and then descended, hiking 50 km out over Paso Viento with barely any food left. The empanadas were super good after all the hiking. Thanks again to Ema and Jere. I couldn't have wished for better partners. It’s rare to find people with whom the mood and teamwork stay so positive on such a long route🫶. @patagoniavertical @lasportivagram @mountainequipment @edelrid_sport @pecker_shop_com @stubaisports #climbing #patagonia #cerrotorre #mountains #mountaineering #alpin #alpinism #outdoor
