A little slice of heaven! We dolled up this kitchen whipping up a little Cherry Tart! A charming house in St. Paul called for a Kitchen makeover. First on the menu: breakfast room addition in a new window bay to mimic to Lr bay. But spilling out into the courtyard for summer parties in the new garden was the top request. Southern light pours in making this the go-to room for everything! Even the banquette is the favorite pup napping spot! Painted the color of a Cherry Tart we paired it with rich walnut cabinetry. A bold return to tradition and warm interiors. Our clients love the historical connection alongside a flirty play with color! They wanted a joyful place to start and end their day tucked into this glorious Bay!
Wrap around range wall connects to the primary kitchen with the herb ledge on the sink wall. Fridge + Pantry along the anchor wall for efficiency + organized behind cabinet doors for neat + tidy.
And the creme devil creme….the Peacock Dessert Bar-glossy + bejeweled this confectioner’s dream nestled between the Dining Room + Kitchen. 🎂🧁🍰

For the Northern Retreat project, the fireplace became a true collaboration with Orijin Stone. We had originally selected a different stone, but there were concerns about how it would hold up in fabrication. So we pivoted.
From there, it became much more of a hands-on effort. The clients were really interested in the process and actually went out to watch the stone being cut, which was pretty fun to see!
A lot of what you are seeing in this fireplace was very intentional. There was a lot of back-and-forth, looking at how it would be cut and how the pieces would come together. We sort of love the moments where the stone isn’t perfectly uniform because it adds a bit of personality.

Wrapped up in earthy, natural materials! Preserving Carl Graffunder’s iconic gem was an important feat. One we embraced with careful consideration + selection of pure materials. Teak oiled cabinets, sustainable cork flooring and ply wall panels fit the 1960’s house nestled into the hillside. The exterior landscape-the natural art-with forest friends roaming about! Today, we celebrate earth day in a natural environment!

Flower season is upon us! That time of year we finally get to plan the garden + design glorious outdoor pots! It’s also my favorite season as we look ahead to our summer photography season! Capturing beautiful rooms + vignettes we’ve designed throughout the year. Styling with delicious peonies and blooms in every color-my favorite outing is a trip to the floral farm + greenhouse to uncover a perfect pairing to the room. I love meandering through floral coolers + wandering in my go-to vintage shops for vases + the unexpected. We have so many fabulous local shops to find these treasures.
