Here is a snippet of the story behind my collaboration with Ally from @ocean.kitchen.scotland Find out how an elderly gentleman with hand tattoos, my own life experiences, and an item I found at a village fete fit into the tale of these iconic Swallows I created this piece of Active Audio in collaboration with @thebiglightpods and you can listen to the whole story and many more on my website linked up top 🔝 Activate Audio is versatile, environmentally-friendly and data-deliverable. They can provide customers with up-to-date demographic and user information on your audience in a way that traditional forms of marketing are unable to compete with The Big Light is an award-winning audio production company. A team of passionate storytellers, sound designers, and audio engineers dedicated to bringing stories to life through the power of sound I hope you enjoy mine!

Ally and I went to Troon this morning to do a beach clean, it was beautiful to be by the sea on this blustery January day and doing even a small thing for the environment really feeds the soul We were amazed at the number of plastic bottles, sadly we can't make them into swallows but we did get a colourful selection of harder plastic that we can use We had lots of fun, met lots of lovely dogs (and their humans) and the thermos of coffee was most welcome afterwards We will be bringing out a limited edition of swallows from today's haul so keep your eyes peeled! #swallowsflyhome #beachcleanup #oceanplastic @ocean.plastic.pots

A few people have messaged us that the reason they bought a Lucky Swallow was because of the tragedy of experiencing a miscarriage One told us this: In Roman mythology and culture, the swallow symbolizes the souls of children who died prematurely, they're revered by grieving mothers. They were considered sacred and believed to be messengers from the gods. Another, @vickyjpaul , a contemporary artist used a Harris Blue one to create this beautiful emotionally healing piece of art saying "Blue is a calming colour, associated with the throat chakra and communication... resonated with me as I struggled to express my grief after the miscarriages.... I love the swallow tail on top of the mount as it looks like it's flying into the artwork, free and unrestricted by societal norms" We at Lucky Swallows are utterly honoured Vicky wanted us to say that she would be delighted to take commissions
