I have made a record amount of charms lately for markets and orders and just wanted to post that for posterity!
I'll do my next shop drop on June 1 with current pieces! For now this artiste needs a little break π΄
Thank you so much for supporting what I do, liking my art, and believing in me!!!!
Just packing up some cross stitch kits for an order and thought I'd show you the Lovely Lobster all framed up! I think it's sooo cute. I'm going to redo my gallery walls this summer and I want to sneak in lots of small framed cross stitch projects like this βΊοΈ I think it would also look amazing in a red frame! Or maybe gingham??? This could call for a DIY approach - you know I love painting a picture frame mat!
@luckysprout.studio brings you:
πΈ slow and thoughtful handmade art
π° cute critters and vintage inspired designs
πΌοΈ wearable art and home decor
π east coast whimsical memories
π paper goods and tiny trinkets
Some hand-painted brooches for ur whimsical life π° I'm obsessed with these and look how nice the new gold paint is looking! Very happy very happy π
I will be bringing these along to @halifaxcrafters this weekend - I will be bringing a ton of my watercolour art prints and cards of course, but I do have some little gaps in my display to fill in, so I'll be stuffing them with small handpainted things π₯°
Tell me who is your favourite little guy?? I'll be putting any that don't sell onto my online shop on Monday π
Here is the print for May's snail mail club!!
To get this ~exclusive~ 5x7 print plus the monthly letter, you gotta join my Patreon snail mail tier by May 1st!
The mail tier is $15 CAD and is sent out on the 1st of each month.
I wanted to paint with some bright spring colours and make something cozy and cottagey - I'm going to the Cotswolds in May so this felt fitting!!
Hope you like it too π₯°
A couple pics from this weekend with my mom! If you didn't know, my mama, Marsha, runs @southshoreseasalt and you'll often find her at the booth next door to me at markets! She is my favourite person and we are pretty good at turning work weekends into fun adventures with yummy meals and very good memories.
My mom was the one who suggested I start a business when I left academia many years ago and it was a GOOD IDEA! Now we are both business owners and I am so proud of us.
I think my mom is extremely cool. She has a million good ideas, creative solutions for everything, and matches my infinite capacity for whimsy. I barely have to articulate a full idea and she already completely understands what I'm trying to say. And she's sooo funny. I just love her to bits.
Anyways that's my sappy post that she's going to tease me about!!!! I'm so lucky! Literally the luckiest sprout!!!
(Also I would really like to eat that gnocchi with burrata again!)
A couple booth photos from @makermarketpei ! I'm back home now but had a great time over on the island meeting SO many wonderful people and sharing cute art with everyone!
Some notable moments:
π people who had been following my journey making the new cross stitch kits stopping by to see them in person!
π customers buying something on Friday then stopping by again on Saturday wearing the thing they bought!
π hearing stories about other people's amazingly supportive parents after seeing my sign about my dad (and meeting my awesome mom @southshoreseasalt at the booth next door!)
π meeting other rabbit parents and showing them my live camera of Blueberry because I am insane
π meeting store owners and making new wholesale connections when I have sooo many cool new things to show them
π finding out which art prints people love the most from my new collection, because so many of them had never been tested at a show before!
Anyways I'll do another post about all the things I did for fun on this trip but thanks again to everyone who came out. I'm truly lucky to have a business that attracts the sweeties and kindest people, and never take for granted how magical it is that you choose to put my art in your home! Omg I love us!
