Have you ever wanted to breathe new life back into your favourite moth-eaten jumper or your warmest but worn-out socks?
Join artist Luce of @lucethread on Saturday 8th November, 10.30am – 2.00pm for a visible mending workshop and learn how to darn clothing. Book now via the link in bio 🔗
In this workshop, you will:
🪡 Practise woven darning techniques on knitted swatches 🧦 Learn how to repair socks, jumpers, scarves and other woollens ✨Discover mending as a creative, restorative process 🌱 Begin repairing your own cherished items in a supportive setting 🎁 Take home darning needles, yarn and the confidence to continue your repair journey
Please bring along any damaged wool or knitted garments you’d like to work on. All other materials will be provided, including tools and yarn for practising in class and continuing at home.
No prior experience in darning, knitting or needlework is required. Enjoy tea, coffee, biscuits and gentle conversation as you stitch.
All proceeds from this workshop go towards supporting our artists and maintaining David Parr House.
