A sexy new poster to reflect some new changes to Queeriod! If you noticed in the past few months we already started this change but Queeriod is now every 1ST, 2ND & 3RD SUNDAY!
More themed & collaboration shows, new faces, familiar faces, shenanigans and amazing drag every single month! Whether in the audience or on the stage, we hope you join the good Queeriod vibes with us!
Just a reminder about Queeriod:
✨It’s an open stage show at @charlies_chicagobar for amateur and seasoned drag/drag adjacent performers of all styles and experience levels
✨It’s every 1st,2nd and 3rd Sunday* from 5-7pm
(*subject to change if special events at the bar)
✨Tip Spot and Special Guest spots available via submission form (submissions open every other month. Make sure to go to the @queerioddragshow page and click the bell 🔔 notification to turn on alarms for posts so you don’t miss out on signups)
✨Open to performers age 21+ with Valid ID in the Chicago/visiting Chicago area
✨Priority given to performers new to the show, POC, trans and disabled performers. Previous cast members are welcome to reapply. There are limited slots to perform so please sign up for a future session if you don’t get cast right away!
✨Queeriod is FREE to attend
✨You can always catch the show online with our free livestream on Twitch.tv (link in bio)

How to Book This Drag Alien Deity!
Updating this post from a few years ago because it was super helpful! I LOVE getting all the details upfront. Transparency is a great way to alleviate my anxiety and dread by not having to pull these details out of you. And also these are details that if you are running a show, you should normalize giving to your team upfront as well!
Helpful info to give me when reaching out:
•Show Date
•Show Time
•Location
•Show Time
•Amount of Numbers
•Theme (if there is one)
•Expected Tasks (Host, Perform, Producing/Organizing, etc…)
•Show Pay
•Transportation/Lodging Accommodations (If outside Chicago)
I can be flexible with my minimum rate depending on the project but heads up, especially for newer hosts/producers-please don’t offer me a tipspot or split door gig.

This time I stopped by @thewasteshed in Humboldt Park. I always like popping in periodically to see what materials I can gather. Selection varies based on what is donated but they have so many items they offer for HELLAAA cheap and have great sales throughout the year. If you’re ever starting a project I recommend looking there first before looking elsewhere! I picked up some more fun materials for us to craft with on Wednesday, come through to see what’s in the haul for you to use!

The prices were so affordable, there was such a wide selection of items to purchase and I loved all the mystery bags and handmade items from fabric scraps. Love the commitment to sustainability in the shop and the owner was so sweet!

Super excited to collab with @theunderstudychi for their creative workshop series. On Wednesday, May 20th join me as I walk through some fun beginner’s tricks to elevate and embellish your clothing through upcycling!
Whether it’s a costume, a night out or every day wear- find a way to infuse your clothing with more of your personality! I’ll provide materials and instructions- you bring a friend and an article of clothing you want to alter. $5 for entry and $10 if you want to purchase a clothing item from me to alter. No one turned away due to lack of funds but the entry price goes to supporting your host and the materials costs.💕
How it Works:
✨Doors at 7PM: Grab a drink and/or treat from the cafe
✨7PM - 7:30PM: Make friends & shop for a clothing item if you didn’t bring one
✨7:30PM: Workshop starts~ Find a spot in the workspace & get comfy!
✨We’ll close out with a runway of your new creations! (Participation optional but encouraged).
