We had a blast down at the Flamingo Room @oneillssoho last Saturday, thanks to everyone who made it down and to @hotvoxmusic for putting on a great night! TASHKEZAR Dubbed as one of the most exciting acts rising on the UK’s global music scene, they blend psych guitars, funk-driven bass, Balkan brass, synths and ecstatic Arabic vocals into Baladi Funk – a high-energy collision of vintage Egyptian pop, Anatolian rock and global groove. Made up of musicians from Egypt, Uzbekistan, the UK and the US, they bring a euphoric and tribal energy to the dancefloor. With frontwoman Mariam, shaped by Cairo’s underground scene, delivers sharp, defiant lyrics - turning upheaval and displacement into body movement and pure joy! LOVE CLOUD Making a return to the Main Hall for the second time this year, this seven-piece band bring their fusion roots reggae with RnB and Afro-Latin fire.
