first thing is first, shoutout @juju.untrue on the art. future greatest to ever do it.
for me though this track was a genre exercise couching deconstructed club hallmarks in a 140 tune. i’m really happy with how the drumless second half came together — i think a lot about how dance music could do more interesting things with form and structure and it was really satisfying to throw out the typical second drop format to collage some samples and sound design instead.
this tune kicks off my S/S26 bootleg run, so expect more flips very soon. i’m also gonna be announcing my first shows of the year before long, and as much as i love flipping tracks i can’t wait to field test some of the original stuff i’m working on.
