I'm very pleased to share with you one of my latests articles ‘De la maison au jardin, territoires de la mémoire’ which can be found on pages 36, 37 and 38 of the latest issue of l'art même #AM99. I would like to thank Christine Jamart for inviting me to cover this anniversary programmation initiated in the framework of the bicentennial of La Maison des Arts, and Anne-Cécile Maréchal as well as Véronique Baccarini for their warm welcome. I have decided to highlight the artworks of Myriam Hornard, Priscilla Beccari (b. 1986) and Louise Limontas (b. 1987), which are not only powerful but also highly relevant to the issues addressed in the two exhibitions that open this programme: ‘Habiter la maison’ and ‘À l'abri des regards’. 'Habiter la maison' can be visited until 15 November 2026 on the upper floor of the Maison des Arts, with a summer break from 25 May to 18 September 2026. Meanwhile, 'À l'abri des regards' is open until 24 May 2026 (included) on the first floor of the art centre. The third exhibition will open in September. The selected artists are: Sébastien Alouf, Benoît Bastin, Priscilla Beccari, Frédéric Biesmans, Jan De Vliegher, Myriam Hornard, Louise Limontas, Antoine Moulinard (for 'Habiter la maison') and Priscilla Beccari, Paul Gérard, Aurélien Gaubeau, Myriam Hornard, Romane Iskaria, Louise Limontas, Anne Sedel (for 'À l'abri des regards'). With production and distribution support from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

LOUISE LIMONTAS X LA MAISON DES ARTS FR - Née en 1987. Vit et travaille à Bruxelles. Louise investit la salle à manger en collaboration avec les élèves de l’Institut Sainte-Marie, partenaire des projets de La Maison des Arts depuis quelques années. Ensemble ils ont exploré le textile comme matière de création et de lien, réfléchissant à ce que représente cet espace de partage et de convivialité autour de la nourriture. De là est née une oeuvre textile collective, fruit du dialogue entre les élèves et l’artiste, mêlant leur gestes, leur idées et leur sensibilités. À l'étage deux œuvres exposées font partie du projet Repli(t)s. Le Pikachu en dentelle qui évoque le monde imaginaire de l’enfance et le lit “funéraire” entremêlant impression fugaces, anecdotes récoltées et détails glanés d’intérieurs. Diplômée de La Cambre en 2013, elle centre son travail sur la matière et le corps comme page blanche, en explorant les possibilités des tissus et de multiples techniques artisanales et industrielles. Louise palmt de eetkamer in, samen met de leerlingen van Institut Sainte-Marie, een school in de wijk en al enkele jaren partner van de projecten van La Maison des Arts. Samen verkenden ze textiel als materiaal voor creatie en verbinding, reflecterend over wat deze gedeelde, gezellige eetruimte betekent. Dit leidde tot een collectief textielwerk, de vrucht van de dialoog tussen de studenten en de kunstenares, waarin hun gebaren, ideeën en gevoeligheden samenvloeien. Twee van de werken die boven te zien zijn, maken deel uit van het project Repli(t)s: de kanten Pikachu die de fantasiewereld van de kindertijd oproept en het rouwbed dat vluchtige indrukken, verzamelde anekdotes en details uit interieurs met elkaar verweeft. Ze studeerde in 2013 af aan La Cambre en werkt nu rond materie en lichaam als onbeschreven blad. Since the end of June till the 14th of September you can come to visit the show "En nu!?!" @emergentinveurne in collaboration with @vzw_kaos The expo is built up around the work of Myriam Loyens, and related to the work of 13 contemporary artists. I am very pleased to be part of the show and to share a part of our precious moments and rich encounters with Myriam. Trying to translate something elusive into something material. Nevertheless it stays like a secret language between her and me that I can't express with words.
