@louisbever ’s inspiration and work comes from the comfort of his own living room. 🫂
The London-based photographer has quietly become one of the most recognisable image-makers working across fashion and culture right now. Known for his raw flash photography and the reinvention of historic artwork from the past, Bever’s work sits somewhere between realism and modern fashion imagery.
Whether shooting for some of the biggest brands in the world (including Arsenal FC and adidas) or documenting grassroots football at its core, there’s a roughness in the way Bever frames people and environments that provides a unique identity to his work.
Over the past few years, he has become closely associated with the wider underground fashion landscape, working alongside brands and musicians. In many ways, his photography reflects the current state of youth culture itself: fast-moving, overstimulated, and constantly online.
We caught up with Louis Bever in the DMs to learn more about his process. Check out our chat above.
‘MAKE YOURSELF BIGGER’
When I was younger, I enjoyed being a goalkeeper. The picture is inspired by my dad telling me ‘to make myself bigger’ against another player.
I therefore photographed Pat in a 1996 Liverpool goalkeeper shirt with massive hands.
Accompanied with a group photo from the 00s during a football competition.
Photographed in my living room.
‘THE TITLE RACE - ARSENAL OR CITY?’
Pat in the 1997 Arsenal Home Shirt and 2002 Manchester City Home Shirt. The final chase from Manchester City.

‘ARSENAL BEFORE ATLETICO MADRID.’
A few things that caught my eye before Arsenal played Atletico Madrid during the Champions League.
