🚌 Our annual Driver of the Year competition took place on Wednesday 6 May at Ingliston, with participants competing for a chance to represent the company at the UK finals in September.
The competition itself was closely contested, with 22 drivers taking part in a series of challenges including an obstacle course, theory test and road test.

Due to various road closures for the Edinburgh Marathon Festival on 23-24 May, a number of services will be impacted across the capital and East Lothian.
We’re working closely with partners to provide links for participants and spectators, as well ensuring we can maintain connections for customers who live and work locally over the weekend.

Lothian’s ongoing partnership with @shelterscotland has raised £12,800 over the course of the last year through the sale of unclaimed lost property.
Since 2024, we have been giving new life to lost property by donating unclaimed items left on our vehicles to Shelter Scotland. The charity then resells these goods through its network of shops across the city, turning forgotten belongings into valuable support.
Over the past 12 months, the initiative has resulted in:
🔹 £12,800 raised from the sale of donated items
🔹 3,149 items sold
🔹 0.95 tonnes of waste diverted from landfill
The money raised is enough to help answer calls to over 230 families in crisis, as well as fund 260 webchats to support people with expert advice on housing issues.
