When you get invited to @thepalmspringssurfclub to shoot @kei_kobayashi with @drinksolti and @cybersuits you call a good friend like @eric_knowlzy to share the experience, pack an overnight bag, grab your gear and start the 5 hour plus drive because the Snapper comp is on in the @moonstone_rav4
When you arrive you start looking for angles and creating compositions in your mind before the first wave is even ridden. Then the low rumble starts letting everyone know that it’s on and despite the 3-5 minute break between sets you scramble around changing lenses snapping pics and then just like that the two hour private session is over and you’re headed back home. So was it worth it? I’ve shot Surf Ranch before and this was entirely different, so I’d say yes. The Solti team was awesome and the club staff were super friendly and accommodating. I had a blast and would like to thank Eric, Kei and Solti for the opportunity to capture some moments. Here’s 15 from my lens of the man who hooked us up. I’ll do a follow up post of everyone else later. 🤙🏻
