I dropped out of college 4 times. I accepted the fact that college was never for me and lived on survival mode ever since. From taking that risk to drive to la, to living in my car, to being hit by a drunk driver, to being laid off, to working 80 hours a week, to fighting through truama, depression, grief, and anxiety, to making people’s day better with comedy, to doing stand up shows, to Habesha MatchMaking during Covid Quarantine ,to meeting amazing people along the way…I always felt that I quitted on myself too early.
Carrying the habit of quitting is a slippery slope and regardless on how long it takes, or what happens, it’s never too late for ANYTHING. This degree didn’t raise my value as a person. This degree is not a indicator of my self-worth. This degree was just something that I wanted to get for myself. It may help or it may not help, but it’s the principle that matters…. and I’ve became a different person in the process…
