Postcards From Midlife is a chart-topping show hosted by me and my friend of 25 years Trish Halpin. @postcardsfrommidlife celebrates the positive stories of midlife women with wit and warmth. We interview spirited midlife celebrities and previous guests include Elizabeth Hurley, Patsy Kensit, Claudia Winkleman, Juliet Stevenson, Mary McCartney and Davina McCall among others. And we quiz experts on how to lead a happier healthier midlife as well as meeting world famous authors and politicians. If you are living in a hormonal hot house, feeling a little overwhelmed and in need of positive, comforting guidance then this is the show for you. We chat about all things menopause as well as parenting, fashion, beauty, wellness, nutrition, sleep, fitness careers, relationships and finances. We've got two dogs, a podcat called Margo, two husbands and 6 children between us - and we share our personal stories and experiences too. Each season we have a book club and a culture club and we involve the fantastic listeners who gather on our private Facebook group of the same name. Follow us on Insta too. And in May you can meet us at our two-day festival Postcards From Midlife live in London (tickets in link above) You can listen to the show on all your podcast providers and via the link in bio above. @frommidlife #midlifewomen #midlife #postcardsfrommidlife

Struggling with your writing mojo? I can fix that! I’ve been helping a mum-friend find her voice after she told me she’d like some helping writing her life-changing experiences down. In our hour together, we’re going to banish that “stuck” feeling for good. I’ll be sharing the “insider” secrets that I’ve gathered from four decades of journalism, editing, commissioning and publishing stories & books. My one-off live session is for Everyone. Whether you are a published author, a newsletter crafter, a creative storyteller, or someone simply looking for guidance on a speech, a pitch, a memorial, a personal statement, email upgrades or a journaling habit—this session is for you. PSA: if you have got a scaly, possibly itchy bit of skin you’re worried about then do go to your GP. Do not put it off for fear you are wasting NHS time. I have just had Actinic Keratosis, a sneaky skin problem which is common but may get ignored. THe red here is what happens after using Tolak cream FYI it is NOT the actual AK - that was a small red patch on my nose. AK is a sign you may develop skin cancer in the future (it is basically pre-cancer cells) and should be treated as soon as it is spotted. This is how I was diagnosed 👆👆 sort of by accident! Treatment with 2 topical creams for 7 days makes you very red! To recover I relied on @eucerin Aquaphor (a genius cream) and the cover up @erborian_uk CC Red Correct (miracle coverup for redness) and I also now use @eucerin Actinic control SPF 100. So get it checked it if you are worried: I had a little red patch on my nose and cheek for years and ignored it. My after pictures - 14 days post treatment - are at the end of the video above. For accurate facts on this go to the British Association of Dermatologists website. And follow @belindashipman who is on a major AK journey #skincare #actinickeratosis
