I loved this thoughtful birthday gift: a set of playing cards with the iconic quilt designs of Gee’s Bend. They instantly took me back to my trip a few years ago to the historic “airing of the quilts” festival in Gee’s Bend, Alabama—home to one of the most remarkable traditions of American abstract art and storytelling through textiles.

What gives this wall covering its texture?
Mulberry pulp and salago fibers.
These natural materials have been used for generations in handmade paper making because of their durability and dimensional quality. In our WEITZNER wallcovering called Eden, they’re transformed into a surface that blurs the lines between textile, wall covering, and art.
Years ago, I asked myself: why not have the wall and wallcovering have a conversation? Wallcoverings like Eden give you the choice to paint the wall any color and allow the wall covering to respond differently to it, creating something uniquely personal each time.
