🚨 LIVE INTERVIEW ALERT - TIME CHANGE🚨 KING OF TEMA in partnership with @tpafforg takes TIKTOK! 🙌🏾 Join me LIVE on Thursday, May 21st at 6PM EST on TikTok - @eanewswithpurpose as I chop it up with Ghanaian filmmaker Kobina de Graft-Johnson about the explosive new film KING OF TEMA 🎬🔥 and the highly anticipated June 12th & 13th screenings in partnership with @tpafforg (Toronto Afrikan Film Festival), including the industry after-party. We’re diving deep into the inspiration behind the movie, Ghana’s drug trade, African storytelling, culture, controversy, and why this film has people talking across the diaspora. This conversation is going to be RAW. REAL. UNFILTERED. 👀 If you care about African cinema, truth-telling through film, and stories that hit hard, you do NOT want to miss this one. #kingoftema #torontopanafrikanfilmfestival #film #ghana #viral

Today we are back at Monica’s in Little Jamaica starting 1pm, celebrating Black History! At just 5 years old, yesterday this young queen took the stage and left us speechless. Her performance of “Black Shadow” was a powerful reminder of our journey, the history we carry and the culture we’ve shared with the world. 🌍✨ Through every struggle, our spirit remains unbroken. We are a people of joy, dance, and resilience. Peace and love, NOT WAR, aren’t just what we do; they are who we are at our core. Let’s honor our roots today and every day. It’s more than a month, it’s our history in the making. ✊🏾🖤 #Blackhistorymonth #BlackHistoryYear #BlackFuture #toronto #eglintonwest

TORONTO ✨🇬🇭 I’m honoured to be part of a special Black History Month opening night as the Toronto Pan Afrikan Film Festival partners with the City of Toronto History Museum to present "The Eyes Of Ghana" at Todmorden Mills Museum on Thursday, Feb 19. I’ll be sharing “Threads of Freedom: Kente & the Living Practice of Pan-Africanism” , exploring Kente as a living archive of identity, resistance, and connection across Ghana and the diaspora, with love from African Fashion Week Toronto. Film. Culture. Conversation. #BlackHistoryMonth #EyesOfGhana #KenteCloth #DiasporaStories #CulturalHeritage
