⨠What makes you feel powerful?
On my mat, I feel powerful through arm balances, inversions, and fluid transitions. These moments deepen my connection to my body, making me fully aware of its strength and capabilities. Beyond my yoga mat, I feel powerful when I consciously choose how to respond to situations that could trigger strong reactions. Whether itās someone cutting me off in traffic and deciding to simply breathe through it or refusing to engage when someone is trying to provoke an argument. I find strength in that control.
⨠What advice do you have for women and girls?
The power you seek is already within you. When you let othersā opinions shape how you see yourself, youāre handing over that power to them. True strength comes from owning your self-worth and refusing to let external validation define you. The way you perceive yourself, the words you speak to yourself, and the belief you hold in your own capabilities, these are what truly empower you.
⨠Whatās your superpower?
Students enter my class carrying the weight of stress, exhaustion, or sadness. But by the time they leave, thereās a lightness in their step, a glow on their faces, and a renewed sense of positivity. Seeing that transformationāhelping them shift from heaviness to joyāthat is my superpower.

Some instructors say that āhip openers release stored emotionsā is an absolute myth. I say, if you take that literally- treating the hips like a storage device for emotions- well, our hips donāt really do that.
But if you take it in a psychological perspective, such as holding a happy baby for a longer time - a pose that is not only challenging, uncomfortable, but also involves a sense of āexposureā - and the longer you hold it, the more you surrender to it, then yes, that mental softening often leads to emotional release.

Donāt be the bent-neck yogi š
Rather than treating the neck as a separate hinge, let us aim to treat the spine as one continuous line from the tailbone to the crown of the head.
By moving the neck as an extension of the upper back, you distribute the curve evenly across the whole spine.š

Working on full body strength also prepares you for inversions. Aerial yoga is my go-to for inversions- for the swing provides the right support when I want to practice away from the wall (it is there, but itās not making you rely on it 100%)
Try this flow that includes drills to prep the whole body for headstands, pincha and handstands. And if you are still scared, you can opt for the supta baddha konasana (swing supported inverted butterfly) - a great way to practice proprioception š«¶š½
