Director Lorena: “As a Director in the RomCom Workshop I was able to work on something I needed for my career in directing. I got to dig in deep in a romcom scene to explore how to portray the emotions, the connection, the disconnection, the laughs and everything else that comes with it. We can play, but knowing the responsibility is there to make the best scene possible. I signed up to learn, work on my skills, practice and meet new fellow collaborators!”
Actor Kwinn: “I was favorably impressed with the professionalism of the Director, the Intimacy Coordinator, and the DP. They were skillful, efficient, and offered more in their work than I expected. It made me level up because I felt I was in good hands to work with my scene partner.”

In this workshop, we brought in Intimacy Coordinators as many directors & actors have yet to work with one or even if they have, still are unclear about their responsibilities. We had our IC’s break down what their job really entails and all the ways they are there for the production, not just the actors.
While we shot intimate scenes with the safety of IC’s on set, we all learned so much from them! They brought a world of understanding to safety and comfortability on set during intimate interactions and that’s the core of what this workshop focused on. 🙌🏼
