Join us for a night celebrating Black femme stories in animation! Featuring Marguerite Abouet and Clรฉment Oubrerieโs 2013 animated feature film ๐๐๐ถ ๐๐ป ๐ด๐๐ ๐๐พ๐๐, alongside a selection of animated shorts from Black femme, LGBTQ, and other emerging animators.
Weโre also excited to announce the addition of Amarise DeFrancoโs ๐ฟ๐๐ฆ๐๐ด to the shorts program! ๐ฟ๐๐ฆ๐๐ด follows a young girl who is transported to her familyโs home country of Haiti with a familiar stranger, discovering more about who she is and where she comes from.
Doors open at 7:00 pm, screening begins at 7:30 pm, ๐๐๐ถ ๐๐ป ๐ด๐๐ ๐๐พ๐๐, 84 mins. Shorts program, 52 mins. There will be a 15 min intermission in between ๐๐๐ถ ๐๐ป ๐ด๐๐ ๐๐พ๐๐ and the shorts program.
