Just a little post I wanted to make to THANK YOU ALL for watching and enjoying the latest batch of cartoons I made for @astudiodigital . They’re all a labor of love and if you know me most likely you can see that a lot of them are based on personal experiences or friends and loved ones I care deeply about. It can be weirdly vulnerable making art and to see the warm reaction these got means a lot. Especially with Baby Factory and Stake Knives, those were the first cartoons I made post stroke and they really were an uphill battle, relearning my rhythm and new limitations on my body and work pace. A studio was nothing but understanding and patient and I really can’t thank them enough for that. Anyways not to get sappy but I appreciate you all! Cant wait to make more stuff! So this post is a little different, it’s a call to action. This movie, Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie comes out this weekend, and I can’t beg you enough to go see it. If you like what I do or know me I can almost guarantee you will love this movie, it’s an insane comedy that feels like it shouldn’t exist about two Canadians trying to get a gig for their band. You don’t need to know anything other than that going in. Don’t look up anything about it I promise you just go and you’ll laugh your ass off. I got to watch it earlier in October and it blew me away, I can’t believe exists.
I started watching these guys in 2017 pirating their Viceland show and it immediately became my favorite show. The way they can spice together a narrative, use parody and man on the street stuff in such creative and new ways that makes you question how they did everything, it’s like a hilarious magic trick. And it’s just so funny. They’re fearless.
Finding this show unlocked so much in brain about what’s funny, what you can do with tv, and the importance of fair use. And for a show I’d force my friends to watch, I can’t believe they have a movie, it still makes no sense but I’m so happy it exists. It felt like something made for me and now somehow it’s a movie!

A Night In With The Boys
My piece for @nicocolaleo upcoming David Lynch Art Show (that you should come to!)
A sculpture all about having a night in with the boys and all your favorite creature comforts. David Lynch’s story about his relationship with the 5 woody woodpeckers he rescued is my favorite story of his so I wanted to pay tribute to that along with all the food he and his boys loved.
It was really therapeutic working on this the week of the anniversary of his death. I hope you like it and I hope you come see it in person next week at the show.
