Foto: Andi Huber

TWE 2025 WORKSHOPS Laura Manz “Seamless Waters” August 11 – 15 9.30 – 11.00 @iwanson_international Studio D Beginners Language DE/EN “It is through movement itself that we become human bodies. How can we be soft yet strong, use our energy wisely and manage to listen to our bodies? How do we remain honest and humble? How do we practice gentleness that can still surprise and challenge ourselves? How do we nurture our curiosity in order to be playful and open with what is already present in our bodies?” (Laura Manz) This workshop combines contemporary dance tools from floor work, improvisation, partner work and somatic practices. A joint, guided warm-up prepares the participants physically and mentally to move gently and let go of unnecessary tension. Tasks and improvisation suggestions are then used to deepen the connection to the floor (as eternal partner). By consciously exploring the anatomical relationships in the body, participants discover endless movement possibilities and new ways and articulations within their physical structure. At the same time, the workshop raises awareness of three-dimensional space, with the aim of creating a holistic experience and a knowing behavior between space (outside), body (inside) and mind (ephemeral/in-between). Through partner work, the participants feel how touching and being touched influences the way they move and how information flows through the body. What is important here is that only sensitive touch can create the connections for a common basis. Laura leads workshops for professionals and amateurs, researches, performs and produces dance works. She has worked with Ceren Oran, Caroline Finn, Constantin Georgescu and other choreographers and has performed in theaters and public spaces. In these fields of activity, she questions how humans interact with nature, other living beings and themselves and how sensory perceptions and environmental influences affect the human body. Laura supports the Bad Lemons Project and TanzQuelle artistically. Pls find more information via link in bio on our website. 📸 (c) Marina Sekacheva

Daher let’s all welcome Maura to the team!! . . Welcome Maura, äh Laura! At Rat&Tat Kulturbüro we call Laura mostly Maura - to avoid confusion with Laura Martegani. So let’s welcome Maura to the team! Laura is a dancer, facilitates classes and workshops for professionals and non-professionals, teaches pilates and also slid into the „producer game“. Therefore she’s not only hanging out on several dance floors but also in the cutest office of R&T, juggling wildly with numbers and other unpredictable tasks.
At the same time she’s using her communication skills and creativity to make the seemingly impossible possible. With good vibes and a huge openness Maura, ehm, Laura works as creative producer, as well as in creative audio description for dance and performance productions in the free scene of Munich and Germany. . photo: Andi Huber @shotbyandi

next week training with @looraley ❗️NEW TIME 10:30 - 12:00❗️ ❗️class at BBA Sonnenstr. 7 ❗️ . class description: seamless waters This training exchange combines contemporary tools from floor work, improvisation, partner work, and somatic practices that in the end all come together at last as we are human bodies in motion. A guided physical warm up will set a common ground to prepare our body and mind. Through task-based exercises and improvisational propositions we will deepen the connection to the floor (who is inevitably our forever partner) and practice moving softly by letting go of unnecessary tension. By exploring anatomical relations in our bodies we can discover endless possibilities to move and find new pathways and articulations within our physical structure. Simultaneously, we will craft our awareness of the 3-dimensional space around us, and how we relate to that space, our body, and others. . . Bad Lemons Project wird gefördert vom Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München & dem BLZT - Bayerischer Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz aus Mitteln des Bayerischen Staatsministeriums für Wissenschaft und Kunst.

Superficies "Superficies" relates to geometrical surfaces, but it is also a legal term that refers to owning the land where one’s house is built, even when the land belongs to another person than the owner. We expand the term superficies to the spaces inhabited by a performer, where surfaces are unstable, markings and forms defy stable ownership, and forces will generate movements and developments. Choreographer: Constantin Georgescu @constgeo – in collaboration with the performers @eleonore.barbara @looraley @paula.niehoff @jjaaggss95 @b2au4er Lightdesign: Rainer Ludwig commissioned by @tanzquelle & performed @hochx TanzQuelle und CoCreation Lab wird gefördert vom Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München & dem Bayerischen Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz - BLZT. excited to invite @playfight_practice by @formlessarts to Munich again - join us for a weekend full of connecting to yourself and others with subtle awareness, playfulness, dancing, understanding patterns and grounding into physical integrity. . for all movement interested people! . . PLAY-FIGHT WORKSHOP with Francesca Romano @francesca.yu80   when: 4/5 NOVEMBER 2023 detailed info coming soon and here: [email protected] about: The workshop will be a journey through the most important aspects of Play-Fight Practice. Approaching the work gradually, using different exercises (alone and with partners) we will be able to flow into the free play. Focusing on reawakening awareness upon stored unnecessary tensions and those patterns that are not always functional, we will have the opportunity to approach new ways to interact with the outside world. The exploration will embrace all the aspects of human beings: physical, emotional and mental. Only when able to recognise how much tension we accumulate in our system, by releasing, we can transform that tension in real power while allowing the body to re-function organically and efficiently finding back its integrity. From that point we can enjoy the richness that unfolds in every small movement, especially when in connection with another person. In this way, we learn to not add, to not force, to not run away, we experience instead how to stay with what is there and ride every wave with honesty and wholeness.
The partner in this practice is the best mirror, allowing us to playfully stretch the comfort zone and to get in touch with our patterns of reaction. The moments of free-play become opportunities to access a never-ending flow of possibilities, responding intuitively with open mind and available body, crafting together an unpredictable interplay between confrontation & cooperation.    Main Topics for this workshop: embodiment of non-resistance quality
falling as a state of being
gravity practice
move in between more body mass and lighter, yet deeper touch
preserving structural integrity: function as a whole
interplay between confrontation & cooperation.
