Met veel verdriet, maar ook met een grote glimlach nemen wij afscheid van onze onvergetelijke vriend Jack Kerklaan. Vele legendarische momenten hebben wij mogen beleven met deze grote Schiedammer. Zaterdag om 16.50 komt Jack nog eenmaal langsrijden over de Buitenhavenweg tegenover ons pand. Wij zullen hem met Loopuyt vuur onthalen

Op 21 december begon de winter, en dat betekent een nieuwe poëziebundel vol gedichten geïnspireerd op het seizoen en het Park.
De presentatie van de bundel vond plaats in het Veerhuis, met voordrachten van Hans Wap en Rien Vroegindeweij en muziek van Terts Brinkhoff en David Zee. We toostten op Jules met de speciaal door @loopuyt_gin gestookte Deelder Hard Gin.
Deze Winter is samengesteld door @arideelder en @amc.fok , dochter en vrouw van Jules Deelder, en is gedurende de hele winter op te halen in het Veerhuis, het Parkpaviljoen en andere horecagelegenheden in het Park.
De serie dichtbundels van Poëzie in het Park is een samenwerking tussen @hetparkinrotterdam en Het Veerhuis.
Ontdaan en verslagen zijn wij door het bericht dat Miky overleden is. Wij denken terug aan de geweldige tijden die wij beleefden in Loopuyt’s speakeasy, waar Miky het middelpunt was in zijn eigen barbershop. Het laatste woord was altijd aan Miky, die met zijn tommygun de gasten, die vanzelfsprekend wilden blijven hangen, wegjoeg. Wij noemden dat “ The last Shot”
