Quex Gardens came to life today for a joyful celebration of 100 years of the Powell-Cotton Trust.
From the unforgettable visits of Ellington the Elephant and Samson the Lion and fantastic live music and dancing, to local stalls, tombola and tasty food from our outdoor kitchen, it was a day full of joy, laughter and community spirit!
Getting to share it with our friends, neighbours, members and local community made it all the more special.
A big thank you to everyone who joined us - @loopingtheloop_ , @rejiggedceilidhband , our trustees and @birchingtonparishcouncil .

Weâre at @artsinramsgate this morning (Sat 2nd May) from 10-1pm making some props and puppets for our upcoming projects. Everybody welcome. Fancy popping in for a cup of tea and a biscuit?
Anyone else got an elephant head on their lawn, a lionâs body strung to their washing line and a storyteller costume hanging from their dining room curtain rod?

Fun at LTL Towers today as our Lion arrived⊠still some work to do on his skin and mane but was great to try him out. Shout out to @margatecreativelandtrust for lending us enough space for a Lion and Elephant (not featured here!) to roam in! Massive thanks to @james_edward_frost for his amazing brain and artistic skill in designing/creating and Kudos to everyone in Thanet that came to one of our making workshops and twisted willows, sewed elephant skin and papier mached lion head. What beautiful creatures weâve created together.
Cant wait for their first outing @powellcottonmuseum on Monday 4th May! See you there?
