Last night, our community came together to stand with Minnesota. Through music and joy, we have already raised over $600,000 for @theadvocatesforhumanrights ! Your amazing generosity will fuel their work fighting for the rights of immigrants and displaced people and will grant needed access to free legal representation for those in detention. Let’s keep it going! This amount is a testament to the level of impact we can create when we work together to Make Music Mean More! You can still donate to support this campaign as LOF continues to send funds to organizations helping immigrants and activists across the country. Check out the link in our bio to donate and join the movement! 📸 @skylerbarberio

There’s a kind of magic that happens when people come together as chosen family and decide to look out for each other. That’s why we are so proud to partner with @proctergamble to amplify our shared commitment to equality and inclusion for LGBTQ+ people everywhere. 🌈🤝 Together, we’ve been able to provide grants to support LGBTQ+ organizations doing real, life-affirming work to address different needs across the LGBTQ+ community – assisting folks on the ground to make sure LGBTQ+ people are supported and empowered. We’re excited to support these organizations — @lgbtcenterlink , @glaad , @outrightintl , @sageusa and @trevorproject — as they protect lives, care for our elders and youth, and advocate for the safety, visibility and dignity of our community worldwide. With our help, these LGBTQ+ nonprofits can plan, scale and respond to ever-changing needs. With our sustained support, we can defend the rights and joys of LGBTQ+ people. More change is possible when we work together. #LGBTQ+ #Equality

Partner of the week! 🏠 @saveinkkc has been providing shelter and hope for individuals in Kansas City for over 40 years! They have a long history of standing with the Trans and Queer communities of Kansas by offering them access to services and a welcoming place to call home. This support includes offering transitional shelters for young people (ages 18-24) to assist them in finding pathways to stability and independence. Housing is a human right and all people deserve safety, shelter, and a place to call home. Your generosity and support of @lookingoutfoundation made it possible for us to fund @saveinckc ‘s efforts and we couldn’t be more grateful for all they are doing to face the housing crisis head on. From our home, to yours- thank you!

Two artists. Two foundations. One shared mission. Together, we’ve raised $350,000 to support HIV care worldwide, keeping clinics open and helping connect people to testing, treatment and prevention. Grateful for this community. Thank you ❤️

Our hearts are with the people of Hawai’i this week as they work to recover from the worst floods to hit the region in over 20 years. Homes have been lost, families displaced, and schools shut down. Today, we are granting $5,000 to the Lāhui Foundation of O‘ahu’s North Shore to assist in recovery efforts. The @lahuifoundation works to support the safety and wellbeing of Hawai’i’s families while also protecting and preserving the culture and ‘aina (love of the land). They are actively responding to the current crisis by recruiting volunteers for cleanup and connecting affected families with essential resources. We encourage you to follow their updates via their website and social media pages to learn more about the community and how to support their work! Hawai’i Bramily recently joined Brandi for a concert on Lāna‘i. We believe in the power of music to unite and uplift us and your donations enable us to support communities when they need it most. Mahalo ❤️

Cutest team ever? We think so. @lookingoutfoundation has a small but mighty staff that believes in Making Music Mean More! As our impact grows, so does the work. That is why we are so excited to welcome Sami Narayanan to Team LOF as our new Grants & Research Manager! Sami has been a part of LOF long before now, volunteering her time to help us make sure our grants are impactful and aligned with the values and causes that you all care about most. We are so lucky to have her on board and will keep doing our best to make this community (and our younger selves) proud.

PARTNER OF THE WEEK! 🎻@heartbeatmusicproject is Making Music Mean More for the young people of Navajo Nation! The Heartbeat Music Project supports Diné K-12 youth through the intergenerational transfer of culture, language, and music. They provide 100% tuition-free music and cultural education, along with instruments, supplies, transportation, and meals at no cost to families. By offering both Diné and Western music education simultaneously, they work to address historical imbalances while providing students with comprehensive musical knowledge that honors their cultural roots. Their students engage in a confidence-building process that strengthens their cultural identity while creating innovative artistic expressions that challenge conventional boundaries. These emerging traditions enrich both local Navajo communities and the broader musical landscape, remaining rooted in and sustained by the greater Navajo community. We know the future of music is in good hands and are so grateful to our community for your generosity that allows us to support @heartbeatmusicproject and other organizations working to increase access to music education!

PARTNER OF THE WEEK! 🏡 Many of you have been asking us to share more organizations that support our immigrant neighbors. We are excited to introduce you to one of our wonderful grantees, @mainecommunityintegration ! MCI supports young women and their families who are new to Maine and the United States. They offer outdoor programs, like SPROUT, year-round to help New Mainers connect with their environment and community. They do so in partnership with local organizations, schools, and leaders to bridge gaps in mutual understanding and create social and systemic change. We are so glad to be able to support MCI’s work and your donations make that support possible. Today, and every day, when you donate to LOF, you are supporting organizations across the country that are helping immigrants, refugees, and their families. Check out the link in our bio to learn more!
